2-point 107-way at Skydive Chicago during Summerfest 2009
smooth replied to jcunniff's topic in Relative Work
DVD is available here Maybe someone can ask Charles to put just the 2-pointer online somewhere. I don't know if this link will work or not but if you have a Facebook account you might be able to view the video here -

Did an accident shake your confidence?
smooth replied to Xtine's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
If you really want to jump again - you will If you're looking for an excuse to stop jumping - you'll find that too. With over 100 jumps you already know that you like the sport. Your feelings of apprehension are normal. I have metal in my leg from a skydiving accident too and questioned whether I should "quit while I'm ahead" or continue with the madness. Turns out that I jump more now that before the incident. After you heal go back out to the dz. If you still have the urge then make a jump. You'll be kinda scared until after the landing but then you'll realize why you do this crazy sport in the first place. -

The first point The second point I don't think still pictures do it justice. Seeing the transition between points adds a lot to the experience. -

I've got 12 lbs you can use. ( unless they tell me to put on some lead )

I've logged all of my jumps but I put in a LOT less detail now. I'm glad I still log because I had my Pro-Track stolen and without my logbook I wouldn't have know what jump number to use as a starting point for my new Pro-Track.

smooth replied to npgraphicdesign's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It is both a hobby and a sport. It's also known as SPORT Parachuting. -
I've jumped one, many times. Still have it.

From other locations on the internet. You be the judge. C-5 Galaxy Stall speed at maximum landing weight is approximately 105 knots (120 MPH). (~430k with full flaps and 15 degrees of bank) the stall speed was only 87 knots. C-130 - 100-115 Knots - the stall speed for the much larger C-5 Glaxy are known to be 115 Knots
