I agree with you about Texas having done more for the space progam %100, Id bet NY has done very little for the space program. I was just saying im sure they were trying to find places were the shuttles would be enjoyed by the most people. Im also quite sure that money had a huge behind the scenes influence on the decision. The Intrepid museum is actually an awesome place. Its the aircraft carrier Intrepid and the deck is covered with all types of aircraft. Its a perfect home for one of the shuttles, it will be seen by millions of people locals and tourists alike. If your ever in NYC its definately something to see, especially since we will soon have a shutlle! As far as limitations of the deck im sure it will all be taken into account and any structural support needed will be added, this isnt just a "boat" its an aircraft carrier! Wait , I pull what first?

The canopy was a pretty new navigator 220. Oh and jumpsalot I know better then to screw with peoples livings! Believe me as soon as I can I plan on jumping my pack job, everyone who watched me pack half the day said they looked good and would jump it. Wait , I pull what first? -

I sat there and packed that rig over and over, so by the time my arms were tired of packing i was even getting pretty quick at it! Im thinking if i can keep up the good work when i get licensed i could do some packing to off set some costs. Look me up if you come to the ranch and ill give you a discount!! I just started my aff at the Ranch in NY and wasnt able to get any jumps in today due to weather. One of the instructors was there checking the student rigs and I got him to show me how to pack. He showed me once, helped me once and then set me loose on my own! i srewed it up once but then i nailed it!!!!! so im two jumps into my AFF and already i have my packing signed off!! Cant wait to learn more good stuff. -
i just started my aff up north at the ranch so im just a bit ahead of you. Ive had a couple of days already where i couldnt jump so i hung around the dz. In those few days Ive made some great friends and had several offers for free coaching when the time comes. Im sure the people at Z hills would be just as great so you can expect the same from them. To me its worth having these friendships in place when the time comes to find people to jump with or ask questions. Today one of the instructors spent his time with me teaching me to pack for free since nothing else was going on due to weather. I bought him a jump ticket to say thanx and i now have a solid buddy at the dz already! To me id go to Z hills if thats where youll be jumping most. Just a noobs $.02. Good luck and Blue Skies!!! Thanks everyone for the great input. I dont know that ill wind up buying this canopy but if its still in the classifieds when im ready its something i can bounce of my rigger and instructor. Now if i can just get the weather to cooperate so i can get some jumping done, maybe ill get to buy a rig someday!!! Wait , I pull what first?

Thanks likes, i actually did factor in gear weight. i go between 190 and 200 on average so i figured a 230 was about the right choice. Does the Silhouette pack smaller like the Pulse does? Thats also part of my consideration since my container would be that much more versatile down the road. Wait , I pull what first?

Im doing my aff at the moment and have the money put aside to start assembling a rig. Ive done the search and read the reveiws but im looking for some fresh input. Theres a silhouette 230 in the classified(230 would put me just under 1:1) and i like what ive read. My two kids get most of the use out of the tv but ill admit i like watching high def movies with the home theater on so i will have to replace it quickly one way or another. My flatscreen tv wich had a 4 year warranty on it that ended March 26 , up and died on me march 31!!!! I called the store i purchased it from and the guy at the store said they should honor the warranty but he has to check with his regional guy or somethng. Keeping my fingers crossed since any money spent to replace it will come out of my rig fund. Wait , I pull what first?

sorry i didnt explain to well, if i was the guy that lost the hope thats been there for 60 years id go driving around looking for important peoples homes that have hoops and file complaints to see how quick they pull those down. if its the law then thats fine, but i still feel the officer didnt handle the situation well. Lying to them was just wrong and at the least she should offer an appology. Im not anti law enforcement, I just think that sometimes everone needs to use their heads. Wait , I pull what first?

So then why were only certain hopes removed, if one comes down, they all come down. Who gets to decide where and when to enforce the rules. If they stand on the"its the law" defence i would go to every wealthy neighborhood and insist that all the hopes there be takin down too. people with money tend to get more say with the powers that be so maybe they can get this thing straightened out!
