Eh... selective memory... what can you do? I have no complaints about my childhood. And I have plenty of good memories mixed in. Those are just the "earliest".

I have two... 2 years old: kissing my brother's foot (who was 3 1/2 yrs old) under the table and being kicked square in the face. that started a 15 year sibling rivalry from hell. 4 years old: Getting stung by 10 bees on the head and almost dieing.

With all odds against me, I kicked the crap out of a very important presentation this morning in front of my boss and all of my boss' bosses.

well, you inspired me to go read the other thread and i appreciate the laugh. ladies and gents, what we have here is yet ANOTHER case of dropzone.drama. for the love of god people, GET OVER IT! chris is a safety nazi, a fantastic skydiver, and a very gererous instructor who offers help and free coaching all the time. give the guy a freakin break. i have also learned not to post anything that excites you or entertains you about skydiving. for example, stories about mister bills, crw pictures, or small pushes out the door. they will certainly be over-analyzed by many people who have no athority to comment. chris, my advice to you....... don't let it rent space in your head.

No money. Just 3 nights at a hotel and some other perks I guess. But it was a free league tournament, so it's still nice having put nothing in to start.

Nope. Would of, but was never told about the student program. Just pumped through the tandem line on a busy Saturday. But I was there this year for the swoop comp and had a great time. Nice place.

... in a poker tournament and won a trip to Atlantic City. Unfortunately it is now 1:40 am, I am severely buzzed, and I have to get up at 5 am for work!!! DOH!!!!

Airsoft is soooooooooooo much fun! I played last night for the first time with a bunch of skydivers and law enforcement friends. I haven't had that much adrenaline pumping through my system since my static line jumps!!

Yes and yes. Used to do it quite often. But one comes to mind.... I picked up a hitchhiker on my way back from New Mexico one summer. I had 2 other friends and my dog travelling with me, and I think the dog could drive stick shift better than my friends. So as the only driver on a 3 day drive, I was freakin exhausted. I picked up this guy John at a service station. He was this long-haired hippie kid from New Jersey, just trying to get home. John was the coolest hitchhiker EVER. Not only did he right away share the driving with me so I could catch some well needed zzzzzzzzzzzzs, but he got us all a hotel room one night, bought us a bunch of beer, and chipped in for gas. I ended up driving him all the way to his doorstep, he cooked us a meal before we took off again, and we stayed friends for many years. I don't pick up hitchikers anymore. Some of them were sketchier than others. I just don't feel safe doing it anymore. It's pretty sad. -
I got word last night that mom, dad, big sis, and new baby girl are doing excellent. Congratulations, JW! I'm so happy for you! We want pictures!!!!!!!!!!!
