Captain Underpants????????????? Geesh! What was everyone's favorite childhood story or booK?
  4. Rob, That is FANTASTIC!!!!!! I'm really happy for you... and proud of you. You have been busting your ass since well before I ever met you.... and all for your son's well being. I'm so impressed. Congratulations to you and your family. I hope the best for you. I'll be pulling for you these next few months. Way to stay strong! Good luck. See you when the snow melts.
  5. Looking for Accomodations? As Rebeca said, there isn't a bunkhouse yet. But, a bunch of us were just down there for a week over Christmas/New Years and found a great place to stay for a reasonable amount of money. Three miles from the dropzone there is a place called Everglades Adventures (http://evergladesadventuresresort.com/) that rents RV hookups, campsites for tents and cabins. We rented two cabins - equipped with kitchens, tvs to watch your daily videos, grills outside, campfires, screened in porches, beds and showers. We didn't have to intentionally tame our party habits either. When we made our reservations, we told them we were skydivers and they put us down at the far end away from most old folks. We had great parties almost every night, listened to music pretty loud, etc etc. We had no problems at all. They also have laundry facilities there - buck a load. If you stay there, bring a radio - there aren't any in the cabins. I was in a small cabin that slept "three" (two bunk beds and a fouton), but we had just enough floor space for one more. The larger cabins are a bit more expensive, but they have lofts and a seperate bedroom. The kitchen allows you to save money by cooking your own meals - and it's close enough to run back for lunches. If you want any other info, feel free to PM me. SoBe is still my favorite dz so far. Well worth the trip.
  6. Everytime I look at those pictures or at the one that made Parachutist, I'm in awe. You chicks rock my world! Everyone has to find their inspiration somewhere, and I definately get mine from those pictures. Whenever I find myself struggling to reach a new level in this sport, I think about how it will feel when I'm part of something as cool as that. Thanks for sharing.
  7. yup. guilty. one malfunction packed by yours truely. i was totally distracted (no excuses, just the truth) trying to welcome some new freeflyers to the dz. during the conversation i managed to pack myself a lineover on a triathalon - a very difficult thing to do, thank you very much. i take full responsibility. i have to say, since my mal, i've been a bit put off on packing for myself. i'm easing back into it, but i definately lost some confidence in my own ability. it's all good.
  8. note to sdgregory... no shit... and he's too pure... hence he needs to go to the nunnary. LMAO!
  9. you have to admit, those things look pretty stinkin cool.

  11. I've been sitting here for the past two hours laughing at my brother-in-law as he struggled to put together my nephew's new Playmobile Pirate Ship. That thing was retardedly complex. I think I would have given up halfway through. The words coming from his mouth during assembly were NOT for children 3 and up. then, i had to put together one of those toy shopping carts and pinched the hell out of my finger - it's still throbbing. What is the hardest toy YOU'VE ever put together?
  12. ha ha ha ha ha... adam, you perv! i always KNEW you were a pervert!
  13. i'm not afraid..... i LIKE vibes! i think it's more than just PWing. i think it's a way of saying... hey... heads up... this is what's going on in my llife and i need some positive energy sent my way. i agree, it's kinda lame and not the same value when typed into a message board, but i DO believe that good thoughts can go a long way. i'm one of those vibe-requesters. sorry, guys. i asked for vibes for a job interview about a month ago. i really wanted the job - i got the vibes - and i got the job. i guess i could take em or leave em.
