I agree with the above. I have a Pilot 150 ZPX in my V310. Packs easy and deploys great with my wingsuit. Flys and flares like a dream. I will be hard pressed to ever change to another canopy. Base# 1638

Colors and design are nice!! Enjoy, it's a great flying suit. Yes, wear it to work. It may get you that promotion you have been waiting for:) I just have a feeling. Base# 1638

Nice job Jarno. I love how he flapped his arm wings like a bird on that final exit:) He will be remembered... Base# 1638

I have the UPT semi-stowless bag and love it. No line twists wingsuiting since. Base# 1638

Amazing Jarno! Can we fast forward our lives to F&D 8.0. I'm ready:) Base# 1638

Yes, the glide ratio on the jumps I did with the V4 showed much better glide ratio, but the pilot is at the heart of it. What will really be interesting is when we get numbers from someone very experienced flying the V4. I put 10 jumps on it and felt I had a lot more flying optimization to go. Perfect example was when I jumped a V4 with Robi in his V4. I could not match his speed and glide ratio and we are at a similar height and weight. Obviously, he knows how to optimally fly his suit. Either way this is going to be an exciting year for wingsuit performance. I can't wait to see the outcomes at upcoming events and how much we raise the bar. I do feel the bar is definately going to be raised. Competition b/t companies is going to push performance to new levels and we will all benefit. Base# 1638

Actually, Justin was not this comparison as I was flying a V3 on that jump. I'll leave that discussion for another day. I jumped with another X and I passed him pretty fast. He initially was at a higher altitude, but as the speed of the V4 increased and lift increased the gap in altitude decreased fast. As the horizontal distance increased I was unable to tell from my perspective how much the altitude gap decreased, but his perspective showed the altitude gap b/t the X became very close as my speed and distance increased. By the end of the jump he felt the X was slighty higher but the V4 was significantly further ahead. Base# 1638

I just posted a video on youtube of some limited footage of V4 flights from Flock and Dock. I don't know how much Ed and Brian were pushing there V3/V4 when I passed them from above, but if Brian was matching Ed's V3 performance look at the forward speed and altitude difference when I passed them from above in the video in my V4 (really Robi's:)) I was flying the suit hard in that video. The suit has a large performance advantage over the V3. I also did 1 on 1 performance flights with another V3 multiple times with the same results, including me switching to the V3 and the other pilot flying the V4. I did fly against an Xbird/Sbird as well. The speed was much greater and believe it or not the altitude difference was very close agaist the XBird. This suit kicks some serious ass, is so easy to fly, and fun. Flocks in the video were from a phantom 2 not V4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OE8GcFePT0E Base# 1638

I better get to work on my back flying then:) One word if this happens: LEGENDARY! Base# 1638

At Flock-In-Dock I did a high altitude jump on the V4 (22,500ft). This was my forth jump on the V4. Neptune stats : 4min 52 sec with average vertical speed of 43mph. The suit needs minimal effort to fly and did not really exhaust me much. I did have a fly sight on. I'll be interested to see the stats and let you know. Otherwise, I'll give you all my review of the suit. I did 10 jumps on the V4 at F&D. The suit is similar and different than the V3. In terms of similarities the suit is just as agile as the V3, easy to fly, and very stable. The differences are significant in the positive direction. The suit pressurizes and flys faster, the lift over the V3 is a lot greater, and it is slightly faster. These comparisons were made by 6 of my V4 flights made with others that had V3's. After exit it had significant more lift and slightly more forward speed. By the time the V3 deployed I was consistently 1000 to 1500 feet above the V3. The bonus of this was I could convert this altitude to more forward horizontal speed by diving the V4 and the difference in distance from the V3 was great at the end of the jump. Overall the V4 is a BIG step forward from the V3. Base# 1638

I'm on my way as I type to F&D! WiFi on my Southwest flight at 41,000 ft. I get in at 9AM and plan on jumping at noon. See you all there:) Base# 1638

Cookie G2 vs Bonehead REvovle.. who wil K.O?
BIRDDOCTOR replied to jenette's topic in Gear and Rigging
I have tried most of the full face helmets on the market and like the revolve the most. The G2 is a great helmet too. I like how the whole lens/frame of the revolve moves out of your face when up. It's easy to talk to other jumpers before exit and when you pull the frame/lens down the locking mechanism is bullet proof. Visablity is great and it is really a quiet helmet. Plus, like was already stated it is 2 helmets in 1. Either way G2 or revolve you can't go wrong. Just my 2 cents. Base# 1638 -
Yes, firmware needs to be updated and it should work perfectly. I had the same problem. Base# 1638

I got the GoPro LCD back 2 days ago. It's actually really nice and light weight. Very easy to use with the added controls on the LCD screen side. It comes with 4 different case back options. 2 of them are water resistant just like the original back. The screen is clear and it comes with a built in speaker that's very clear and loud. You can adjust brightness of the screen and volume. You will need to update the firmwear first to get it to work,(easy to do).So, if you have a GoPro and want video replay it is a nice option. They really thought the development through and did not rush it. Live Large BD Base# 1638
