  1. Thanks for the replies. It sounds like Spandex it is. I will get some slip-ons in case I need them (they're cheap enough compared to the cost of the suit).
  2. Hi, Does anyone have the spandex forearms on a Pit Special? Are they comfortable? Do they make a big difference in fall rate compared to supplex? Is the "Neptune Pocket" that they offer with them any good? I'm intrigued with this idea of being able to use "slip Ons" with them. But I want to know if they are comfortable. For fall rate, I could probably just go with supplex forearms like the rest of my suit (except for the cordura booties and kneepads, which I am getting) For background info: I've got 2 years and about 90 jumps. This will be my first "real" RW suit (i.e. with booties). I've been flying an old tonysuit (Supplex) from 25 years ago with grippers but no booties. I'm 6'1" and 170lbs. My current ancient tonysuit is all supplex and is built for someone around 3" short than me, so it fits snug.
  3. Thanks for all the suggestions! I just want to somehow make this clear to US Customs, that *my* Vigil2, is going to the USA to get some "work" done on it (installation into *my* new rig). I think I will end up sticking with "Aeronautical Navigation Appliance", as it is a designation in their books. If anyone has any other thoughts, feel free to pipe up! Thanks to all who replied so far.
  4. Hi, I'm just about to ship my Vigil2 to the USA to have it installed in a new rig there. My question is, what should the item description be on the package so US Customs doesn't hickup. I know that Cypres tells you to call it: "HTC 9014.20.8080 - Aeronautical Navigation Appliance". I'm thinking that would apply to the Vigil2 given that it does the same job. Has anyone shipped these things *into* the USA and called it something else (skydiving safety device, parachute component parts) and had it go through OK? Thanks!
  5. Thanks for all the warm greetings! I'm definitely enjoying this new-to-me activity!!!!!!
  6. Hi Everyone, this is my first post. I picked up skydiving about a month and a half ago and loved it! I've just got my "SOLO" license and am hoping to get my "A" before my drop zone S.W.O.O.P. closes for the fall. I've browsed the forums before, but have now decided to join. Looking forward to a fun time! Leslie
