I think I got a ride back to the DZ from one of those guys after I landed in the middle of Udon Thani during our 400ways....... Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Looks like a Cat C jump. Heading control is the TLO for this release dive. Doesn't look like you had any. I'd ask again if you passed this level. If you aren't able to hold a heading, do you really think your ready for controlled turns? If you can not answer this question after your debrief, you may want to get another instructor at your DZ to explain it better to you, and NOT rely on people on the internet for your debriefs........ Sorry f this sound harsh, but there is nothing I hate more then students going home with unanswered questions about the jump they just did....... IMO, tandem and video are a team effort if you want a good product. If the spot is alittle long, it takes the TI's effort to pull alittle higher, so the camera flyer can also. TI's that hose the video and dont pull higher to ensure the video can make it back, are fucked up. If the camera flyer had every opportunity to pull higher on a long spot, then it's his fault. The TI and student should always make every effort to land in a safe spot, and that is most likely at the DZ landing area. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

The Challenge is alot more technical flying then what we do on World Team, and to what we do at Kaleidoscope. The World Team jumps took far more ground and air prep to complete the formation though and required basic large formation skills. The Challenge took both large formation skills and competition skills to complete. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Yes, I'm sure. Instructors are "Private Contractors" according to the DZ. If they make you sign a contract, be sure to read all of the document when you start working for them. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

You should not be doing instruction then. You are equally capable of getting sued, and possibly losing, even if your student is over 18yrs of age. Have to pay the money out of your pocket to legaly defend yourself in court, waiver or not, will cost a small forture, and will surely not be any fun. Taking an under aged student 16-18yrs old, with a waiver signed by their legal guardian, will cost you the same in legal fee's should they decide to sue you, even after signing a waiver. Every instructor working for any DZ is taking that risk. Just because your working "for the DZ" doen't mean you dont get sue along with them....... Sounds like she got a great debrief on her jump...... Directly after her jump she should know everything she did right, along with everything she did wrong and needs to improve on. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -
Was this your 1st reserve ride? Good decision on chopping that spinner , but there's no need to pull the reserve slider down before unstowing the reserve's brakes...... Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

You can jump from a plane with a piece of plywood and a parachute strapped to your ass if you choose to. There are no officail rules. Get someone at your DZ to mentor you and give you sound advice as to what your skill level is for your best chance of survival, and try no to look for advice on the internet. Just remember, THINK.....then jump, you'll live longer. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
