It looks like it's about 2 hours north. You'd have to pay seperate insurance and club fee, so i don't think it would be worth it. There's lots of bridges around there worth checking out though and those are free ;)

I thought there was another DZ nearby. I heard the 2 DZO's have some drama.

I had my own car and used my iphone to get there. Some people take the train, then take a taxi from there.

The club has their own house nearby as well that they'll let you stay at for free. Just don't forget to take your shoes off before you enter ;)

This is true. Fortunetely for me, I've only had to cut away 2 students while I was learning, but I'm good at controlling the spin now.

I recently got some freefly couching and scheduled some tunnel time. One of the few skydiving friends I have said that the skydiving mentality has changed and it makes him very frustrated. He said ten years ago after a jump, jumpers would say "dude, that was fucking awesome!" now it's more like "hey man, you were back sliding a bit". It's almost as if everyone is in a hurry to +1 up eachother rather than just have fun. I understand that this is a generalization and I've had numerous accounts with friendly, awesome jumpers. I just wish it felt more like family. If only i had a good set of tits...

Did you not put your left arm forward during your pull and do a half barrol role or something? It sounds like you got really flustered. You did the most important thing, you pulled. The second most important would be to pull stable. -
You must be such a wonderful person to be around. I'm just jealous of all the badasses out there. I was stuck overseas for 3 years and could only jump while on leave.

I just hit 200 hundred recently, so I'll bite... Out of the 12 of us who got free tandem skydives, I was the only one who pursued AFF. Highlights: -Received my "A" license at 28 jumps. -I've only had someone pack my rig when i was a student and during my canopy course so i could go to debrief. -Reserve ride with total malfunction at jump 47. -Never had a home DZ. -Took me 4 years. -Fuck tunnels, fuck wingsuits, and fuck freeflyers.

Going anywhere besides Mesquite and you'll be wasting your time. I did AFF at Sincity Skydiving then gave them a 4 star review and the owner threatened to sue me. I got my A license at Mesquite and learned a lot, especially how to land in tight areas.
