  1. Me either. In less than 40 days I'm taking a yearly pilgramige to Emerald coast. Need to pay off a credit card in the mean while. So money would be the real reason. The other reason is I want to finish my PRO rating but we have no S&TA at our drop zone now. That would be my reason for jumping. Real shame too becasue the winds are light and steady, not a cloud in the sky. Love the video. I can't remember how many time that happend to me and my group when I was still doing a lot of RW. A hybrid I was in maybe a month or two ago sort of looked just like that. Sure keeps you on your toes when a CRW formation goes funnel. We all have funneled one or two dives. Post em. Doesn't matter what discipline. This should be a good laugh. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker

  9. Start leaving it up again. When she complains tell her that she didn't apprieciate it when you lowered it. Also tell her that she must be nuts not to look before she sits. She has to sit no matter what and to rely on someone else to make sure the seat is down for her isn't smart. 10. Yup, he could. Better have a very secure realtionship and able to part ways as friends if you have an SO in the sport with you. I hear stories of break ups and one or the other has to go find a new DZ to jump. 11. Took me a while to warm up to them. I thought they were a bunch of no talent ass clowns until I caved under the radio playing them over and over. Depends on my mood whether or not I will change the radio or ask a coworker to turn it down. 13. Leave notes about the barking dog on the front door rear door and the car doors. When you leave to go to work blast an air horn every morning if you are up earlier than them. Call the police in the middle of the night for noise complaint. Since it will be dark and no real reason for the noise for the police make sure you call it in as a domestic dipute. They will knock on the door and wake them with a very bright light and question them separately for a while. Get all the nieghbors to go over there with you and confront them about it. 14. That's not what is happening. The barking might have woke them but the barking did not keep them up. I doubt the barking went on all night. it happened for a moment, then the neighbors had a hard time getting back to sleep. When they complained about it, they over inflated the story saying it kept them up all night. Edited to add- I don't know who the dog owner is and I don't know who is being affected by the barking. 15. Thanks Tom. Everything I have read from you in this thread has made much sense to me. It helps when someone can translate a thought and the other side understands the meaning. There are too many times all over these forums that questions aren't answered or speculation takes place. The hijacking of threads is rampid. Aregueing over opinions and such. Everyone else that had input here has also helped. Gives me another angle to view from. 17. This is very good insight from experience. Thanks everyone for the input beyond what I asked for. Also for the actual answer to my question. Here is one more- I have seen S&TA ground people and threaten to ground people. If an S&TA has no real authority, then how is it possible for one to act as if they do? Maybe because most of the jumper population believes they do? I certainly thought so. By the way wasn't the reason I thought of persueing becoming an S&TA. It is simply because the DZ doesn't have one at the moment and I do have a sort of passion to volunteer and take on challenges. I would have instructor ratings, but just haven't met the criteria for either AFFI or Tandem I. I definatetly plan on getting both as soon as the money and criteria are met. Tandem will be easier since I do CRW more than I do free fall and don't have the free fall hours for AFFI. I'm sure I have a good understanding of all disciplines even though I don't participate in all of them, including swooping. I will soon have a PRO rating (edited to add) just a couple of accuracies and written test and a D license. (end Edit)I do have a coach rating and a rigger ticket. I'm confident I'm on my way. 20. Learn to say oh well, it will be over soon and just do what you need to get the work done and pass the test. I was in a similar situation with my professor the class I'm in and about to finish this week. After the class is over blast him. I will get an end of course critque and I will tell the truth about what I think. I have also addressed the concerns with my acedemic counselor and she passed on the concern to a "complaint specialist" of sorts. 21. Is it true, they have finished rebuilding?! IF so they had better watch out for the Chester crew, Rodriguez brothers and the few toad suckers that will be there. Not sure when the CRW dogs are showing. I should be there early like 2 or 3 am Friday morning. So when the sun rises for jumping on Friday I will too. 23. I have. I'm sure we all do at some point. For me, reflecting usually came shortly after making the decision. Reflecting long term later on for meant that something happened where I was making a new decision again and I wondered if I had went another route if I would be faced with having to make the new decision. I think I just confused myself. Gunnery Sergeant of Marines "I would like it if I were challenged mentally at my job and not feel like I'm mentally challenged." - Co-worker
