Departing from the assumption that your Compact Flash (CF) card is not using a proprietary format, the CF will be recognized as a FAT32 file system. Under most Windows operating system, the files system (FS) will be recognized upon insertion into the appropriate slot, or USB driven card interface. Questions: 1) Assuming you are using a Windows XP or Vista variant, did you see a message when you first inserted the card? 2) If you saw the message, was the "installation" successful? 3) If the installation was successful, can you see the associated drive letter ( for example E:, F:, G:) 4) If you can see the associated drive letter, do you see any files in the drive? 5) If you don't see any files in the drive, have you allowed the operating system to see "hidden" and "system" files through explorer?
