How hard is it for instructor to fling student off?
trig78 replied to FutureJumper's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My instructor did that too! I was like, i was fine and that all of the sudden i started to spin. He just smiled and said, that's because i let go of you dude. -
It sucks when that happens. I try to stick with known names when buying anything. Risk is not worth few bucks you will (maybe) save. Paragear and chuting star will ship the same day or as promissed if something is on backorder ;) At least from my experience. I've been trying to buy a suit though and some companies seem not to be eager to sell since they don't reply for a week or more after I placed an order. Kinda disappointing. facebook.com/trig78

It should be OK if he had Stiletto as student canopy. facebook.com/trig78

Mesquite! It's only an hour ride so i stayed in Vegas and rode there on jump days. No jumping every day anyway. facebook.com/trig78

I would bet there's a lot of inexperienced jumpers, like myself, that will want to go lower than they are supposed to as soon as they have a license in their hands. How low are actually talking about, 800 m, 600m...? I'm not being a smartass, just want to know. How low would you say is safe? As for a bike, i ride faster than most trafic but i'm equaly affraid of vehicles I'm passing as I am of the ones that are passing me. Too many drivers don't see us and are changing lanes with no warning. facebook.com/trig78

It's still far away but i can probably be there anywhere between December and February. Is there anywhere to jump in Dubai tho? Reviews say that the only DZ there has been closed for some time now. facebook.com/trig78

1. There's also nicer ways to tell somebody that he is wrong than calling him an idiot. 2. You don't know me at all so no matter how my post ''sounds'' to you it's not reaaly wise to make judgement of my personality based on it. 3. Why did you even go there? It's not about me but the guy that started the subject. I gave my comment, you give yours Mr. 100000 jumps. No point comenting somebodys comment......Wait, did I just comment yours?

Okarito sounds Japaneese so it must be there. NZ is really beautifull. Can't wait to go there. Soon hopefully. facebook.com/trig78

Should have punched the fucker in the face, few times and go jump somewhere else. Only really good friends can call you an idiot. facebook.com/trig78

Why Do You Skydive? (Psychology)
trig78 replied to DHolland's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Perfectly said. Similar to what i feel when i'm riding a bike really fast, or fly a paraglider, climb... There's nothing else in those moments, no everyday problems......oh shit, line twist!!! facebook.com/trig78 -
And i was gonna use USUALY instead of ONLY. Damn it. I guess more experienced jumpers are using RSL more than i thought too but i was only trying to keep it simple......since i don't know too much, and the guy that asked the question even less. Councilman - my gear as well as gear of my friends was bought in US...recently. My license has USPA on it too facebook.com/trig78

Only student rigs are set up that way so it wouldn't depend on you will you pull it or not. They still teach you to pull the reserve upon cutaway to avoid confusion of multiple choices in students head. So all you need to know is: pillow-metal, pillow-metal facebook.com/trig78

It still happens to me sometimes that i lose arch for a moment and i have to remind myself: hips down, legs closer together.... In the beginning it's kinda hard to focus on few things at the same time especially if you are trying to do something else at the same time, like barrel roll, or backflips.... Most of us tend to keep legs to wide apart and that makes it harder to push the hips down. My favorite exercise for a proper arch is to face the wall foot away from it, keep feet shoulder apart and touch the wall with the belly button. I like to visualize everything, a lot. Go through a whole jump in your head....many times. It will all fall in to place soon. Blue skies

It wasn't me. I've heard stories about his main not opening and than his reserve tangled with the main because he didn't cut away. Apprently he fell through a roof of some hangar or some other structure. Bruised up but nothing serious. At least that was the story. It happened in 2002 I think. facebook.com/trig78

''If both of your parachutes fail to open, try again!'' Skydiver from Serbia some ten years ago. He survived.

Some pople are asses just for the sake of it but most people are not. Sure there will allways be teasing between groups and usualy that's all it is. It's the same with paraglider-hang glider pilots, snowboarders-skiers, bikers..... I'm new to the sport, just got all the gear and I want to learn it all. I can't wait to go home in three months and screw up somebodys 4 way BTW, I fly paragliders, ride snowboard and i love sport bikes. All others suck. LoL facebook.com/trig78
