  1. What's up CHRIS N. & BRIAN Mc.?!?! Good to see ya on this thread! I've been jumping my Xaos21 as much as I can lately and it's been treating me well. I love it! As for the nose rolling, I haven't tried it. My openings on my Xaos have been great so far. I finally got that mess straightened out with the sudden spins. Definitely the risers! Hope to see you kids soon!! Jason J.
  2. Though I love my Javelin Odyssey, I personally do not believe that this has given me any advantage to my swoops. I also am learning the beauty of swooping (slowly but surely) flying a Xaos-21. From my little experience with swooping, I believe that it is ultimately up to the pilot to perform a great swoop. Yes, there are factors that may enhance your swoops (i.e. canopy design), but I think that when you get down to the basics, it's the pilot.

    Redbull boost

I actually love the Red Bull taste. Of course it has all those ingredients advertised and claims it boosts energy levels. Well for me, it definitely boosts my energy! I drink it at the DZ ritually, but I try to just limit myself to one in the morning. I drink it pretty often before work as well. I work as an R.N. at a closeby hospital and I have to be on top of things as soon as I walk through that door and keep it up for 12 hours. Red Bull is my favorite jump start for those crazy mornings! My favorite is still the 'Sugarfree' Red Bull though. Great idea and it doesn't sacrifice the smooth taste!! Ya gotta luv it!!
  4. That's funny someone mentions something about moving near the D.C. area. I'm actually thinking of relocating to Virginia, but I'm unsure of what the surrounding areas are like in VA. I'd like to be close to a large/medium size city, but I don't want to live in the city. And of course, I'd love to have a cool DZ nearby that has turbine craft all the time. I know I'm being a little picky, but I guess I'm just spoiled by bigger turbines. Any ideas about various areas in VA (preferably near a large city or shore or something like that)?? Help Needed**
  5. There's only one way I feel about Apple and their products....they ROCK!! I primarily use my Apples for "video editing & internet access," but it's not limited to just that. Right now, I have a POWERBOOK G4 and the new iMAC. I have 4 Lacie External hard drives that I use strictly for video editing. I also have the new 40GB iPOD (which is amazing), which I had to sell two previous iPODs for to get this one (cause I guess there's no sense in having 3 iPODs.....or is there? Hahaha!). But anyway... As previously mentioned in a thread earlier, the eMAC is a great option for having alot of power in an Apple (at the same time saving yourself some bucks). I personally love the iMAC, because it's just an amazing and cool looking piece of work. Actually, everything Apple makes is like a piece of art (in my opinion). If you're looking to edit videos on a Mac, I'd highly recommend using iMOVIE, which is great for learning how to edit on a Mac (not to mention the fact that it already comes with your Apple system)! I learned alot from using iMOVIE and it's great little program. Now, I'm using Final Cut Pro and it rocks!! Later on down the road, you might want to look into getting Final Cut Express, which is a less costly version of Final Cut Pro but very similar in capabilities. As you can see, I'm a Mac addict and I just can't get enough of the Apples. I do understand that they are more expensive, but if you're willing to shop around and pay for it....trust me, you WILL NOT be DISAPPOINTED! Actually, 6 of my close friends (most being skydivers) just bought new Powerbook G4's and they all say the same thing...."I had no idea what I've been missing out on! I love it!" Getting an Apple is kinda like skydiving. Yes, that first skydive is expensive (not to mention jumping all the time with your own gear) and it goes the same as Macs. Most are skeptical about it. But once you experience it for yourself, you'll understand why we love it!!!
  6. Hey everyone! I'm in the process of looking for an SLR camera for stills and I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this. I'm looking particularly looking to buy the NIKON D100 DIGITAL SLR. Thoughts anyone?
  7. Hello all you Apple enthusiasts! The iPod sure is progressing in what it can do and there's so much more to come in the future for it (I can't wait!!). I have 2 older iPods myself and I want the new generation iPod already!! You just can't beat an Apple when it comes to music and video/media editing. Apple ROCKS!!!!!!!

    Way to go Anomaly!

OH YEAH!!!! Congrats guys!!! You all are rippin' it up out there....keep up the great job!!! Coming out with a video anytime soon??
  9. I definitely gotta give it up to Sunpath!! My Javelin Odyssey has been nothing but great. The comfort, functionality, and style is tough to beat. The one factor that I'm not so crazy about is how much it costs and the delivery time. You definitely get what you pay for with the Javelin Odyssey though. There are so many good rigs out there in the market today, but my pick goes to Sunpath's premiere rig.
  10. Wow!! Totally caught off guard over here! Yes...let's all enjoy the fact that winter is coming (maybe not soon enough, huh??!) Jason Jerusalem life@jasonjerusalem.com
  11. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (M.C.S.E.) I will tell you one thing though. My best learning experiences have been through my "travels" to different countries and seeing various cultures. It's amazing what you can learn by just "listening to others."

    Self Expression

I just wanted to give credit to all those people who find their own way in expressing themselves. Fortunately, the sport of skydiving allows us to show our creativity in many various ways and that is one of the million reasons why I love the sport. It's more than just jumping out and flying through the sky, but it's a form of art and self expression. Whether through it's creating new moves flying, photography, videography, video editing, or anything else, it's a release for all of us skydivers. So big props to everyone who creates their own personal art in this sport we call skydiving!! Have fun and fly safe!!! Jason Jerusalem life@jasonjerusalem.com
  13. I was wondering if anyone out there is having a similar problem like me with their Nikon N70. I'm looking to plug a tongue switch to it, but the tongue switch I looked at only uses a single plug input (looks kinda like a headphone jack). The problem is that the Nikon uses a 3 prong-like jack. Are there tongue switches out there that are designed to be compatible with the Nikon N70? **Please Help** Jason Jerusalem life@jasonjerusalem.com

    Pictures!!!!

Hey everybody!! I'm glad you all liked that pic that I posted. I'm hoping to post more as they come. Thought some may not be of actual skydives, they're all at our dropzone (Gold Coast Skydivers in Moss Point, MS). I hope you like the ones I put up today, as well as many more to come!! 15. Most all people use PC computers to do their video editing. If you ever get a chance to get your hands on a Mac though, iMovie is a great program (and Final Cut Pro, which is what I use....is the poooo). I used to use Adobe Prem. before and it's very nice as well. Happy Editing!!!
  16. I just wanted to tell everybody out there how much I enjoy my new Rawa Helmet! By far, it is one of the most comfortable and functional helmets that I've ever jumped. I've never been 110 percent satisfied with any helmet that I've ever owned, but this one definitely is the best so far!! It rocks!!! Jason Jerusalem life@jasonjerusalem.com

    Pro-Dytter

I've been using ProDytters since they first came out and I'm still a fanatic about them. These "Audibles" are very functional and dependable, as well as sleek looking and low profile!

    ICARUS

Sorry if that question sounded a bit more on the negative side, but that wasn't my intention. I'm just curious to know other views and opinions about the issue. Oh, my name is Jason Jerusalem and I'm a freeflyer in Florida, since you asked.

    ICARUS

What are YOUR thoughts on Icarus pumping out a number of various canopies on the market in such a short amount of time? Are they safe and high quality, with sufficient test jumps made on them before putting them out on the market?
