were you welcomed into the family on the first friday (or saturday) of the convention? It already seems so long ago.... hmm Can't wait till next year. Good thing Richmond is comming up. That will be fun too! Maybe a different kind of fun but still fun. If I am right, I was initiated just a few after you. Not by you though.. Too bad ... too bad. Word up Emma! Although, I would consider trading my body for jumps to the right cantidate... but that's skydiving related. P.S. where are all the women skydivers? Our sport needs some good propaganda. Ahh like pink canopies... .. uh, oops that's been done. hmm any ideas? I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

Hey, that was pretty cool! Since sunshine mentioned the Rodriguez and Muff Bro's what kind of jumps did you guys do to get in with the chosen? what's your rodriguez name? I don't know how they choose the names but I will be forever more known as Tot Rodriguez.. Ehh But just thinking about that night makes me smile:) The muff dives were so much fun! About twelve of us jumped with an aligator and then we did a magic carpet ride. Whoa! I'm with Sky rose at the eternal beer line for this years convention. So many new things. Peace and Blue skies BGS I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

I know that it sounds like it sucks ... but when you're at a small cessna dz they can't put your name on a plane and hold it for you until you fill the load. Alot of times the "cliques" at the dz get up more than loners because they are already a load ready to go. Small dzs really need the cash too. Gale..... .. I can't stand this about small DZ's But if I didn't have mine then I would have to drive two and a half hours just to jump. -- The best way to make this work for you is just to plan ahead. Find a couple of people 3 is good who you have fun jumping with and then meet at the dz. You can always fill a load if you only need one person. I had to be borderline pesky at first to get onto loads but after a while people chill out- Most of them are probably pretty cool once you get to know them. I would jump with you.... a jump's a jump :) BGS I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

The locals were pretty cool, I don't think that anyone knew what to expect from skydivers raiding their city though. It's kinda funny My friends sat around friday afternoon drinking beer (the clouds were low and thick) looking through the WFFC info manual. The Mayor of Rantoul officially welcomes the skydivers with a nice message- We all though that was cool But Fittingly enough there's a picture of him at the bottom of the page that makes him look like a deer in headlights. You gotto check it out. Also there were a lot of curious spectators and young "bumpy" volunteers saying all the usual things. But know this There is nothing in this town, These people will be talking about the convention all year long. It will only get bigger and better. Ohh one more pt of interest on the same subject... The first night some *sshole was caught stealing tips from the tip jar at the free bar. (CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?) Anyway there were only about 30 of us still drinking at that time. When the man was approached It was pretty clear that at least ten of the people standing around the bar at that time were not really skydivers but undercover safety officers- I heard them talking afterwards about how Rantoul is not going to turn into another Quincy... Manifest opened at 8 in the morning. Everyday I was there you could see a huge slow line. I bought my tickets for the day in the morning too. After that it was all jumping. I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

Hey guys, I just got back from the WFFC Now I'm broke and my head is still there. Does anyone want to share pictures or stories? I have a few pictures here that I took with a disposable camera. Sorry no Boobies. F*cking Meijers film shop wouldn't develop them. The convention was incredible though. I had a lot of new experiences there, everyone was soo cool to hang with. It was extremly difficult to even do a solo jump because there was always someone who wanted more people to jump with. My hats off to the load organizers- Especially mary @ tent three who let me take a picture of her cleavage and nominated me for the Rodreguez Bro's and The muff crew.... Muff Muff Muff... .... for bringing the inflatables and doing tube jumps and magic carpet rides. WOW what a time ... . ... I wish that I was still there right now. Hey has anyone taken a picture of the caution tape lawn graffiti? "pull" - I ran out of film ... .. . That's another story that I may or may not own up to Blue skies BGS

I'll believe it when I see it on video. I was at the WFFC Thursday through Sunday and only saw people in the DZ.COM tent once. I think that they were only there to hide from the sun. I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

Well being the NEWBIE that I am. I apologize for not being more familiar with past postings. Thank you though PhreeZone for being helpful. Music and Skydiving are my two favorite things in the world. I love one and fall for the other.
-
Hey all, I'm making some musical compilations here, what songs do you think are Skydive songs? Is there such a thing as skydive music. What would it be if there was?
-
I say it's not what you do it's who you're with! If you have the right chemistry everything else falls into place........ So it's pretty clear that I'm looking for that girl who wants to spend the day at the DZ then head out for a few beers and some food before we get naked>:)

I think that we as citizens should have the right to publicly review our law enforcement officers. They need to remember that they are working for us as dignified public servants Not trigger happy roid raging controll freaks. It always makes me sad to hear that an innocent, good person had to die by the hand of another who we "trust" to protect us.
