I did not know that there was a DZ in Costa rica. Hmmm there's an idea. I have heard that it's becomming more and more unfriendly to tourists. No matter. If I were to go somewhere south east asia I could not justify spending only 20 or so days there. Man what a cool trip that would be though!! Philipines thai , nam, cambodia, sumatra...Indonesia.. Hey Guys. It's good to be back... I haven't logged on since the beginning of september because I've been floating around on a boat in the Bering sea..Anyways I just got home to Michigan only to find out that I really don't want to be here at all. Brr.. It's too cold. What I want is a Cheap ticket some where third world .. anywhere with a beach. I have between tomorrow and xmas to live it up. Any suggestions? I have a little time to kill and it's either live like a bum here in the cold or live like a bum somewhere warm..Tough choice I know. On a side note.. Actually, Up until today I had plans to fly accross country from chicago to seattle tomorrow.. Killer price too..180$ I would still go reguardless of the high state of security..I wouldn't sleep on the plane ..But I'd still go. Word.. What he said..If you want to know something about someone PM them.. They'd probably love to talk to you about whatever.. Besides.. as far as wing loadings and everything in this sport go, stats aren't as important as your personal experience level.. Your skills and what the people who observe you think at your home dz. Ask your dzo what he thinks.. or ask your coach or friends that you jump with. Ask your self are you comfortable, accurate, safe, ..could you manage an off dz landing under any circumstance. Yes.. I agree too. she may be scared or timid.. but for someone to actually do something in this sport they have to first be ready for it.. That definately includes the first jump.. How many jumpers have you seen come down from their first jump and freeze up when they are supposed to flare..Any one think those people were ready for that first step? I don't . Everyone likes good beer... You will definately impress your new skydiving pals with the good stuff in green bottles or with a mexican flavor to it. But remember this too Cheap beer is better than no beer. No beer is a sin. Skygods keep track of those who never bring beer and someday they will burn in hell for their wrong doings. The one exception to this that I have found and somewhat agreed with is at Boogies where the beer is paid for and included in admission. In the event that you ever have a "first time" at a boogie and you're not quite sure how to share this experience with your sky friends a bottle of tequilla will suffice. Yeah, I wanted to jump a round until I witnessed the round jump at richmond this year. It looked like fun when they were all comming down. All the spectators were yelling oooos and ahhhhs until they started smashing into the ground. I did not see this as landing... It was smashing into the ground... plf or not! Hard and Fast and not slowing down- those ahhh and oooos turned into ohhhhhs and holyshits! My hats off to the pioneers for blazing the trails. Before you want to jump a round try not flaring at all a few times under a square on a no wind day.. You may know what you're missing. I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

I just lost my job yesterday after spending all my $$ at the richmond boogie And as I was unloading my van My landlord informed me that he had to raise my rent I can't wait for the good things to start happening I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

I had a pretty good time at the boogie too! I jumped the c-130 at an exit speed of c. 230 mph, my exit was backwards and head down. Man how that thing slingshots you when you present to the wind. I felt like I was in the matrix. I think that I ended up with 13 jumps for the few days that I was there, Freefly,tracking, bellyformation, hula hoop and "All Natural" The Naked jump was probably the most fun of all. Before I pulled though I had to do about a 700 ft enexpected package check to make sure that my jewels were in order. All in all it was a pretty good time. I love those tubes! I did a 12 way with the muffs @ WFFC that was recorded to be 240 mph.. It felt like it too! the scariest part of it was when it broke up it literally exploded people. I was catapulted upwards so hard that it felt like I had stopped falling for a second. Another fun one is a magic carpet ride:) I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

Yes, I have a million dollar idea too! It's called the "gas patch" it's a patch placed on your underwear that transforms unpleasant ass smell into one of your favorite aromas. Turn your "toot" into the smell of an evergreen forest, strawberry or new car smell. Just think of the impact this would have on skydiving, riding in elevators and long car rides.
