    Ok, my basic point here is.. And I want to make this clear that I'm not against Steve(He sounds like a really cool guy to know) that I don't think that a religious presence would be readily accepted by a majority of skydivers.     I'm just curious to see what skydivers think about this idea. I'm opposed to it personally But it's a free world right? How would you feel if there was a Christian ministry tent set up at your next boogie to offer you spiritual guidance?     Is there no line that one can draw on matters like this? I see your point Bill.. And before you say it.. Who says there should be. To answer your question though, I do see a huge difference between getting a hotdog or jumping with my muff brothers and getting spiritual information on how I should live. A christian brothers tent would be cool if it had anything that it could add to the skydiving community. What could it add to the skydiving community though? Doesn't it seem like enough people would be upset by its presence? Why cause a rift. Why even go there? I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

    Steve- You sound like a really cool guy with a good heart and positive intentions. What you're interested in doing takes a lot of conviction (to say the least) and I commend you for your ambition. But, let me say this too, Skydiving boogies are for skydiving activities.. If we condone a ministry (which I definately do not) then why wouldn't we also have voter registration at boogies, Maybe life insurance salesman, How about a booth advertising low, low long distance rates. What else do I have in my spam folder? Do you see what I'm getting at? I'd like to see the skydiving community continue to be all about skydiving and hopefully never a advertising marketplace for lost souls.     I did not stay in the park but visited a few friends who were staying there. They seemed pleased with all of the accomodations except the fact that it was sooo far away and that by staying in the rv park means that you pretty much must also rent a golf cart.     I completely agree with Frodo. If I wanted to be at church on sunday I would be there instead of at my local dropzone. I would not welcome ministry at a boogie. I find it hard to believe that any solicitations could be kept to a tent. I would also find it difficult to believe that an organizer would invite you to a SKYDIVING boogie. I'm not sure if you understand that some people enjoy their time skydiving as "fun" time Away from Current events, Politics, RELIGION, even family. Best of luck to you in finding a way to satisfy your need to preach somewhere else though I travel the land, Work in the ocean, Play in the sky

    Back to the origional post for a second.. Do you think that the increase in traffic on Dz.com is partially due to the time of year it is? It's possible that people are waking up from their long winter and thinking more about summertime activities. Never the less, I love this place.. Every time I come back there are so many newbies.     Alright.. I have a wings and love it, My rigger (the biggest jav fan that I know) also loves it. Articulated harness is definately the way to go if you get one, It's super comfortable and a solid design. Para-service.com has them cheap too..Roy could probably beat any deal that your dz can bring up.. He did for me atleast.. It's worth checking out at any rate.     I was broken into once 1 week after I moved into a shitty neighborhood. I was soo pissed man. They took so much from me and I hadn't even gotten insurance yet for my apartment. They didn't get everything though so I thought that they'd be back. I hid my vehicle the next weekend and stayed up all night with a crossbow (it would be quiet) and waited, hoping for them to return... they never did I had a lot of time to think about what I wanted to do to them though. I decided that I didn't want to kill anyone just for being a plague of society so I put down the crossbow......And picked up my baseball bat! They still never came.     Yeah but don't we all do really stupid things when we're young that when we're older we look back on and say " man! we're lucky to be alive!! " I know that I did.     Soooo! when are we going to get toagather and jam!!! All we need are a few more musicians and we have a band of skydivers!! Boogies! it's all about the boogies. It's great that you still play AND skydive jt. Most of the skydivers that I've met the play an instrument have given up music for jumping.. what a tragedy I say. Hey.. I just bought a new Ovation the other day, It has a good all around sound and sweet feel. Ofcourse my heart is still with the Bass! Awesome guitars.
