  1. Hi Squeak IMO Here's a couple of ones. The artist is only 19. Best of all they wash off. http://web.mail.comcast.net/h/viewimages?id=143820 This website requires sign-in. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
  2. Once I figure out I've done that, I'll send a PM right after apologizing for the mistake, and asking that person to please disregard. I've only done it twice, and so far that solution has worked! If the other person accepts your errant request, you can later just remove that person from your list. 4. No, what you were doing is illustrating one of the things I have always found so laughable about many of the people who pst here. That is the ability to find a remote exception (if we are to believe you) and then attempt to portray it as the norm. The they snort away feeling self justified and self righteous. I find people like that highly entertaining. Thanks for the laugh. All the other women with whom I serve fit the same description. I'm not the exception. Nah, we weren't cut off. I just couldn't get back to my office to get on my work systems. I'm in the middle of a rather time-sensitive project, especially so since it was Friday. Answering emails and trying to coordinate with a group via BB is a total pain in the ass! To everyone else -- thanks for the notes & support. You guys rock. Good Vibes and Happy thoughts going to your way. Any possibility of jumping?? No. I have to work all weekend, and the nearest civilian DZ is a 6-hr drive away. Plus, it's still cold there! See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

May the bombers "72 virgins" all be dudes. Nah..they will probably be goats.... Nah, let them have pigs. I really have no idea whether this is true, but the news is reporting it was a Marxist. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

  10. Then you missed the 3 posts I made saying if a woman can pass the physical and mental requirements the I have no problem as pond as the standards aren't lowered. Or perhaps reading comprehension isn't you strong suit. No, I didn't miss those. You asked a question, the premise of which I was simply illustrating was flawed -- especially in light of your insistence that standards not be lowered. I comprehended that loaded question just fine. 11. Hey, be careful. Seriously. Rough day today. It could have been worse. I'm not going to post any more info at this time, as we're letting our Public Affairs section manage the information flow. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

  17. If you're in a foxhole, you're in a defensive position with others all around you and probably in the spot you wouldn't want to be dragged from until it's secure. Second - picture more like a 135 pound woman. Or a 150 pound woman. It's more of what we see. Third - they've done a fantastic job so far in combat so far. All you have done is twist my question to one that better suits your thinking. So lets try it another way. Suppose you are on patrol with a 135lb woman and you weigh 265lbs. You get wounded by a sniper but are still alive as long as you can get medical treatment within 15 minutes. Would you rather have a 135lb woman to drag you to safety of a 220lb male? Why not just answer the question instead of twisting it? (I know you lawyers like to do that but this isn't a Court) That 135-lb woman would be me. And yes, I can carry a 265-lb injured man. Next question? See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
  18. yes, they do. And it's more psychologically damaging when it happens to them. At least the women are used to having that threat, not just from the enemy. (sorry if this was answered earlier. I just got here and haven't read through all of the posts) See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

  20. What? Why apologize? It's SC! Seriously -- I was at work, wanted to keep the reply short & to the point. I didn't realize it would sound so negative. I did say that I would check with my Visa section, so I just wanted to follow up. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
  21. Let me beat this dead horse for a minute. For the record, an immigrant cannot get a spouse or fiance visa (meaning, intent to stay in the country permanently under this qualification) if their justificaiton is applied to a same-sex partner. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!
  22. I'll ask my visa section tomorrow how that works for getting a visa in the first place. Strange, how I wouldn't be able to get it for a "long-term, opposite-sex" partner without legal marriage, though. IMHO, it should be same for both. Either be able to simply "designate" a partner (same or opposite gender), or codify marriage the same way for both. It seems there are way too many "exceptions" being made to allow same-sex couples to enjoy the same legal benefits without calling it "marriage" by law, just so we can avoid the issue. Personally, I'd be more likely to get a civil union with a guy than marry him. If the benefits are the same, it really shouldn't make a difference legally. And since I don't believe in religion, you can take the word "marriage" out of any legal definition and leave that for the churches. Just a thought in the other direction. 23. "Certainly none"? Really? What about pension survivor benefits? Social Security is just 1 example of that sort of thing. I didn't even have to think about it. Mmmmm...ok. I really don't think about government benefits, but that is certainly one. Of course, it would presume the survivor did not qualify for SS themselves, which means they did not work a minimum of ten years. Kind of interesting that a gay couple chose to play 1950's couple with one of them being a happy homemaker, but it could happen. Got another? Military housing, health benefits (one spouse works a job where benefits are given, the other either doesn't or stays home), family separation pay during deployments (another military one, but that's my job, so...), immigration law (spouse visa).
