So you're not planning to stop in Turkey on your way? WTF! See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

Here is the key point. The reason you had the discussion, and did the honest thing. You recognize this. However, this does not mean she must be out of your life completely. Your relationship is just different -- you are not a romantic couple, but since your bond was so strong you can be different things to each other and still have a meaningful, close relationship. But, I do recommend taking several months to be totally apart, so neither of you falls back into the habit of each other (and therefore slows the healing process). Anladiniz mi? Yes, it sucks now, but you will be happier later. On the other hand, is having children and being married more important than sharing your life with your perfect partner? Of course, if you want both, the better situation is to have all of it. But if you can only live one of those lives, then you should decide if it is more important to have a wife and children than to be with this one woman who really understands you. Iyi sanslar. A Squeak Peak! That would be entertaining! It would probably be something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7ahIGLNNwo&t=44s No, that would be a Squeak PEEK. I certainly don't think Squeak would appreciate a PEAK into his head! See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

Glad I wasn't drinking anything when I scrolled down and saw the "customers also bought" items! Couldn't stop laughing at the names of these things (still fighting the giggles and wiping the tears!). Damn, that's funny. (oh, and also expensive. $70 for an 8 oz bottle? Sure, I understand that size is supposed to be for a busy public office, but STILL!) If You're Going To Shoplift From Victoria's Secret....
TriGirl replied to LuckyMcSwervy's topic in The Bonfire
Yeah, definitely parenting issues. But then again I've been told I have no right to speak of the way someone parents, or doesn't parent, because I have no children. I don't want this to get moved to SC, so I'll phrase my comments carefully! The public school system is funded by EVERYONE's taxes, even though you don't have kids. It's part of the whole "good of society/benefits everyone" argument. Just throw that back at the next person who tries to say you can't have an opinion on parenting issues. If you choose not to have kids, you are not selfish or hypocritical (on this matter especially). If you have them and choose to keep them, then you've chosen to be a parent. Now step up to the plate and BE one! Especially as it in turn contributes to your kid being a productive member of that society. So there you go, McSwervy -- best way to counter those jerks who say you have no right to criticize bad parenting. -
Stamps: Damaging fragile minds and putting children in danger.
TriGirl replied to grue's topic in The Bonfire
How else are kids supposed to develop the hand-eye coordination and spacial awareness that come from playing these types of sports? And cartwheels??? How many kids that age are enrolled in gymnastics, or were during elementary school? It was much more dangerous for me later into adulthood to try to do event he simple back flips I used to do on the trampoline as a child. Turns out kids are much more adept at that type of physical movement. Until we forbid them from doing it. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump! -
Mmmm! Good call.

Since when do we expect to wear a helmet when standing on our heads? Do they make helmets specifically for this purpose, with flat tops so the kid doesn't fall over? Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of a headstand, which is creating your own balance (thereby activating core and other support muscles)? Maybe the skateboarder is wearing kneepads under his jeans. They look large/baggy enough! And I guess if the swimming stamp portrayed instead some kids playing in the water, someone would complain that they weren't wearing water wings, or you couldn't see a lifeguard in the distance! Need to break out the thesaurus to find just the right words to describe this story. (ETA: although, Grue's first "reaction" is quite appropriate, and still has me giggling!) Home made mascarpone ice cream. Add fresh strawberries tossed in a balsamic syrup (also home made).

What everyone else said. Plus: My favorite Tampa radio station went to a ridiculous format where socially stunted losers who have nothing better to do all day in their mom's basement can sit online and decide what gets played. [eye roll]. I don't like what's on any of the other stations. iPod (or other personal music device) is great, but you never hear new bands or get exposed to new music that way. (same can be said for your favorite local radio station) Sometimes it's nice to have five different news stations to get several points of view, anytime you want. FWIW, on long, cross-country road trips, I like to get books on CD as another option. Makes the time go by quite quickly! But when the book is finished, or I want music instead, it's nice to have that option regardless of available terrestrial stations. I would agree (it is imaginary). I would argue that several of those countries are depicted in the wrong color! See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

Arrest made in Miss Teen USA ‘Sextortion photos’ case
TriGirl replied to wayneflorida's topic in The Bonfire
Mine is covered at all times except when I'm using video chat options anyway! Oh, and this is one of the myriad reasons I don't have FB or other social media accounts. There is no such thing as totally secure on any of this! (yes, I realize that also means THIS site, though I also keep this profile quite benign!) Umm... why would I not want to do that? It sounds like my idea of a good time! ...unless you're saying that he'll only pay for the first shot, and you end up with the bill for the rest of the bottle! See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

It had to do with a turtle on his back, I bet! No, but this one made me think of you for some reason. Can't figure out why. http://www.explosm.net/comics/1036/ See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

There were only two lines of text: "I think you should quit drinking." "I think YOU should shut the fuck up." //drinks beer// With minimalist illustrations, they still managed to capture perfect expressions in that one. I used to check the website with the panel comics often. Good for a GREAT laugh about 70% of the time (others were funny, but those others were freakin' hilarious). I'll try to track down my favorite. Five years later and it still makes me giggle out loud when I see it. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

^ This. I also refer to all types of recording devices as "evidence makers." No way for anyone else to see it if you never create it in the first place. See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump!

Uhmm... I'll pass! I just got up to International distance for my last two races (am out of the sport for a couple of years while abroad). However, I did get back to doing half marathons. Just ran Rock & Roll Dublin half, and plan to do it again next August. Will also add Edinburgh in June, and possibly Liverpool in May. Good on ya for getting back to it, and best of luck!
