I am pretty sure they take the same batteries. Look for the CR2325 button batteries. I get mine at radio shack. Edit: Just noticed you are in the UK. Don't know if you have Radio Shack's there or not. But you can buy the batteries from the L&B site also. Paddle faster....I hear banjo music

So one of my friends forwarded me this link saying a bird crashes into a skydiver and tells me to be careful. But, its a paraglider that gets hit with a bird. I wish wuffos knew the difference between skydiving and paragliding. http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/eagle-crashes-into-skydivers-parachute/1jrt90bjn Paddle faster....I hear banjo music

Yes, you can. That CO2 change could make a big difference in UV ray absorption. Paddle faster....I hear banjo music

Actually, I think kelpdiver is correct on this one. The .032% and .040% represent the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. So that is [CO2]/[atmosphere volume]. The concentration of CO2 went up from .00032 to .00040 (whatever units they are). So, you can say the concentration went up by .00008. Or you can say the amount of change increased by 25%. There is a lady who is suing Continental airlines for excessive turbulence. She claims she now has PTSD and can't fly anymore which is bad for her job. I am at a loss for words. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/10/12/texas-woman-sues-continental-over-turbulent-flight/ Paddle faster....I hear banjo music

AFF student struggling with stability
darora15 replied to tomahawkpilot's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
When I first started, my instructor said I fell like a sheet of plywood. What helped me out, was to take a giant deep breath during free fall and repeat the word relax in my head. I felt myself go from pretty unstable to stable. I was shocked when it happened. So on the later jumps I would do that, and now its become natural. Paddle faster....I hear banjo music -
Ever dream that you bounced?
darora15 replied to jrmrangers's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I had a dream like that once. For me, it was a streamer. The canopy was out of the bag, but never opened. I remember looking up and thinking 'shit!'. I tried to do my EP's but I could never find the handles. I woke up just before going in though. Paddle faster....I hear banjo music -
During the fall, I was wearing a thicker jumpsuit to stay relatively warm. A student who was about to go do a tandem jump looked at me and asked "Dang, weren't you hot up there?" I told him that no, it gets colder the higher you go, especially during the fall/winter. He gave me a weird look and said "Wow, that's surprising. It should be hot up there because you are getting closer to the sun". It took all I had to not laugh out loud. Paddle faster....I hear banjo music

Hey Guys, Who is going to couch freaks this year. This will be my first time going. It would be awesome to be able to do jumps with DZ.com folk. For my exp. level I would like to get a bunch of 2 or 3 ways knocked out. What should I bring to be prepared for the boogie (besides rig and such)? Any other advice would be appreciated. Also, if anyone in Arkansas is going and wants to carpool, let me know. I would like to car pool also. Thanks guys. Paddle faster....I hear banjo music

Yep. Here is a pic of the finished product

I got my rigger to do pretty much what you are saying. He sowed on covers and padding (padding from car seats actually) around the leg straps. Like everyone else is saying, only a rigger can do it. He charged about $80 for that. Paddle faster....I hear banjo music

+1 to that. I take between 20-25 min to pack (sometimes 30), checking everything out. I fly a Sharpchuter 245. Paddle faster....I hear banjo music

Did you ever think your main would be your reserve?
darora15 replied to millertime24's topic in Safety and Training
There was a comment in the comment section that said if he had a skyhook it would have cut away his main. Is that true? I don't know much about skyhooks. I just have an RSL. Paddle faster....I hear banjo music -
Hey guys, this is my first post. I am pretty new to skydiving (32 jumps). I wanted to know if there was anybody that lived in the central arkansas area that would like to carpool to Skydive Skyranch in Siloam springs. I have been jumping with a group in Morrilton, Ar by weekends by appointment (tandems). They are off for the winter. So I just thought there may be people that want to carpool up to Skyranch.
