Yeah, they make you do this to further the truth of your criminal history. Mostly its stuff like "have you ever used drugs, stolen anything, driven drunk" etc.They just want to see if you're honest. Its more a ethics thing than anything else. Makes sure they have poeple working form them that are honorable since the employees reflect back on the Sheriff, the county and the Dept. As all of you know, I have been trying my darndest to get an job at the local Sheriff's Dept. in the Communications division as a dispatcher. This would get my foot in the door for a later career once I finish my Criminal Justice degree. Well so far I have gone through 2 different interviews, a dispatcher's verbal,written, and terminology test and about 100 pages of paper work asking for everything from employment history to have I ever been convicted of a crime. I think these people know me better than my own mom now! But anyway, tomorrow at 1:15pm I have yet another interview with the Dept. This time I will be interviewed in front of a board of officials. If things go well this time, hopefully all I'll lack before calling this job mine is the polygraph and drug test!Please send me some good vibes!

Man that sucks! Glad to hear you kid is ok, Lisa. Dont ya just love those old big trucks? My first vehicle was an '83 Chevy 3/4 ton truck.When I had my wreck my junior year in High School, I was VERY glad I had the big ol' thing. It probably saved my life.

I've always loved plane, the sky flight-related stuff etc. I had dreams of flight like so many others do.While everyone else wanted to bungee, I wanted to really fly, so I thought skydiving was for me. I spent loads of time in my AFROTC Science of Flight classes and came really close to joining the Air Force. But because of a run in with a specific asshole(who later became known as my exfiance) I had the chance to jump and fell in love with it from the time I put the gear on til I hit the ground again.My first words were "that was badass! I gotta do it again!!!" So here I am, almost a year and a completed student course(that my ex said I'd never make it through) later. I still love it. I love the people,the challenge and everything about this sport.

You're right Pammi, this week is gonna be rough. Today is my grandfather's birthday..but he passed away last year.He was my hero and I miss him terribly. I just pulled the cover up over my head,went back to sleep and skipped class today.Screw it! Thank you to everyone here who has offered kind words and support.
