When I was in high school, we had a kinda funny tradition. The senoir class would each write an inspirational type "last will and testament" leaving their thoughts, advice and stuff to the underclassmen. (Things like "I hereby leave such-and-such a new girlfriend.To whats-his-name the ability to stay awake in biology.The band good luck at competition next year. The freshman class a little maturity. The up-coming seniors a great yr to 'rule the school'. " etc etc)Right before graduation all of the wills would be edited for "clean and appropriate behavior" and published in the school newspaper. It was kinda silly, but it was fun. I was just wondering, what kind of things we would say or "bequeath" to other jumpers and people around the sport (DZOs, pilots etc). I don't mean if someone really did pass away (God forbid!)..I'm just talking about as a kind of joke like leaving someone the ability to stand up a landing or not funnel a dive. What are your thoughts? What would you do? (yes I'm bored and this is totally stupid.I'm just killing time by post whoring.) "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Well if its already torn I guess all I'd be doing by jumping is tearing it a bit more. Its gonna have to be fixed either way... JK!JK! I'm gonna take it easy and just play things by ear. I haven't decided to jump or not to jump. I'm just hoping this is all a bad dream or that the MRI is clear and its all just inflammation. Right now I'm just wishing for a beer or 12! I was able to go to the sports medicine knee specialist today, thanks to my very cool family.Had an exam and a few x rays taken. The verdict... 1 suspected torn lateral miniscus 1 suspected torn medial miniscus possible inflammation I have an appointment for an MRI next week to confirm all of this. If the miniscui are torn, I'll have to have orthoscopic surgery and physical therapy. (he didn't really say I couldn't jump right now though) "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

UPDATE My grandmother (God bless the little woman)found out that I couldn't go see the doc and that I was planning on going to the DZ this weekend and jump anyway. Ofcourse she had a fit. Then she handed me a blank check and told me to me to get my butt to the docs office. Looks like I have an appointment with a specialist at an orthopedic/sports med. clinic tomorrow.

I've heard of/seen some type of program/option for CD burning that will allow you to burn a CD, but it will only operate from your computer. I guess this is to help copywrite stuff. You might check that out. But then again, I'm very stupid about computers and could be wrong. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Nah! You jump, therefore you're cool. Profession dont matter.Heck I'm a Criminal Justice major and I've been trying to get a job dispatching with the locals here! Everyone has been real supportive too. The DZ where I did my first tandem, there was a really cool cameraman that was chief of police for his city.Very cool guy. Everyone is welcome here.
