    this spring i was doing solo jumps and i was last out of the 206 after a 5 way FF group and i curled up in a ball in the door and she tipped the plane and dumped me out so yea, shell do that

    Ive been packing since my 8th jump but now a year later Im finally packing tandems full time for my DZ (as of yesterday) and your first hand experience makes me even more cautious when closing the container and assembling the drogue release. Thanks

    The issue being, young jumpers, just like young people, can't believe that we've been through it, seen it, learned from it, and want to give them the knowlege without having them go through the grief. So they buck against the "establishment/old-timers/fuddy-duddy's" and keep doing the same stupid shit we're trying to prevent them from doing. The Sticky should be titled: "I Told Him So", or "The 100 Jump Wonder Hall of Shame" FWIW once again, all young jumpers cannot be lumped into this category as not all young jumpers are incompetent and reject advice

    i figured thats what you meant...we do IAD at my DZ so the pilot knows how to handle students on the strut and last weekend i geeked the camera hanging from the strut and told him before hand...i imagine climbing all the way out on the wing is a different story...thanks for the info!

    Ever seen a premie off the step? If the pilot isn't setup and ready to slip, the tail is in the way. With a tandem pair in the back of the plane it could get "sporty." Think of the bigger picture! elaborate please? i confoozed
