Hi everyone! Me and my buddy tested two rigs yesterday (our own), mine passed but my buddies did not. We both have Wings rigs that are fairly new. Mine was manufactured 12/2002 and the rig that failed is a bit newer. As the pin on my friends rig bent we removed the ripcord from the rig and will send it back. I noted the markings on the handle were 71304-03-01. Does this tell anything about manufacturing date? January 2003? March 2001? Or am I just speculating? The pin stood up to the test in one direction but as it was rotated once it bent under a surprisingly low force. I'm glad we tested it, better if it fails on the ground than in the air! Be safe Toby

I really love my Vengeance! I have had no trouble collapsing the canopy after landing and the packing is like any other canopy I have packed. My only consern is how much it will float after a cutaway. The wing seems very rigid even in hard turbulence, I load it at a little over 1.5. Hope my input helped... /Toby

Hey everyone, the big day is near! I have decided to join the BM training at the Parasummer boogie in Estonia the first week of July. I'm very excited!!! Can't wait to do the bird thing :) Is there anything special I should bear in mind during the first flights, and what kind of jumps would be good to train prior to the BM training?

I think the guy is perfect for the job

Could you PM me the code? It's impossible to say what it might be without a larger portion of the program...

The risers are the standard length but the toggles do have the tabs close together. I will give my rigger a call and discuss making a similar mod that you did for your brother. Thanks!

Yes it is a new PD Vengeance with stainless steel grommets.

Nope, the keepers are as good as new after only 10 jumps.

Hey everyone! I put a few jumps on my 10 jumps old Wings rig with Vengeance 120 main this weekend. I really love the rig and I am very satisfied with the main also (loaded ~1.5). The only thing that I don't like about it is that when I collapse the slider and pull it down behind my head the left toggle almost always becomes loose. Sometimes it has even stuck to the slider grommet, making for an "interesting" canopy ride. On one jump the toggle got loose and the steering line wrapped around the toggle somehow, I was lucky to be able to get my finger through the toggle and not have to chop it. Has anyone else experienced this with the Wings riser/toggle setup? Oh, when i collapse the slider I use the two strings to pull it down behind my head in one motion. Should I try another technique? I don't want to waste anymore time than necessary doing this. I have tried stowing the toggle in different ways but nothing seems to help, the slider grommet seems to be too tihght for the riser although I use the type 17 risers. My previous rig was an Atom Millennium and I did not have this problem then, the toggles were narrower and softer and did not stick to the grommet. Any sugestions what I should do?

From whuffo watching accuracy jumpers stomp the disc.... 'Is there any way to steer a parachute?'

Guess I just got lucky! I ordered my Wings container based on the web color program and I must say I had many second thougths about it. When the rig arrived I was however very surprised to see that the color choise I made was even better than I had ever imagined!!! SRI did a great job with it, thank you!! As for my canopy colors, I had the oppertunity to look at som photographs of other canopies made by PD, so it was a little bit easier. Very pleased with the colors of the canopy as well! Can't wait till the weather gets good enough to jump the beast!
