  1. Man she is hot. It also serves her right for being a pats fan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c71YtlT6ppI
  2. That is very possible. Just bury a toggle and see for your self. you will spin much faster then 29mph. The difference is that students (nor anyone for that matter) should not be burying a toggle at that low altitude. that statement excludes swooping.

  4. Thanks! thats a great post. A few weekends ago during the Mountain State Boogie at Skyventure Colorado Greg Rau from UPT gave a great seminar on the importance of fighting to save your own life till you're ether passed out or dead. One of the things he mentioned was never become complacent within this sport and it's your life to save, take control. If you ever get the opportunity to hear him talk about it i highly recommend it.
  5. Thankfully i have not had a spinning mal. However if you can find it Stuart Schoenfeld who is a member of Slipstream has been in such a bad g forces in a spinning mal that his condition was used in a medical journal. so they can be really bad and they happen extremely fast I can't find it but if i do i'll post it (if you find it post it)
  6. i bet he is mad good at Jenga
  7. depends for me as well. On belly and FF jumps i pull at 3000 or 3500 depending on group size. I a wingsuit i pull at 4000 since i am still new at it and am not 100% confident in my body position on deployment i would like to have a little bit more time if something goes wrong
  8. is anyone going from Zhills to DeLand on the 2nd or 3rd? also is anyone going from DeLand to Orlando on the 8th? I am trying to go to both flock and dock and the expo but i need a ride
  9. no not yet but excited to go
  10. Or just do a tail-first (poop) exit and stay knees in and bent forwars until the tail goes past. like this? Your video is still uploading Mike. That is not a proper poop exit, Kris. I don't know what the hell that was supposed to be. that i believe is a wingsuit gainer

  17. The slip stream canopy corse teaches this. I have taken it and actually found that closing my eyes helps you really feel the progression of the flair. We were instructed to do a hop and pop then turn north or south and proceed with checking our air space then closing our eyes and flare hold it for a second then return to full flight open our eyes and again check our air space. with the vertical and horizontal separation between each jumper we were pretty safe. We were exiting from 5K and were not supposed to do any more maneuvers under 2K. I at the time had around 250 jumps however most of the people in the class had under 20 jumps.
  18. Happened to me out here in colorado in mid october. I looked to me left and my entire left arms leading edge was covered in ice at around 8K. it was gone by pull time but it was quite strange.

    freefly?

Thats fine let me ask you a few questions that people asked me when i wanted to start freeflying: 1) do you know how to turn with only your legs? 2) do you know how to do a kick dive to a formation? 3) do you know how to fly mantis style? 4) do you know how to control fall rate? (relates to question 2 i know) 5) how are your docking skills? 6) do you know how to back fly? (very important for freeflying also considered freeflying) those are some of the many things you can still learn on your belly. be patient their are steps to everything and you will get there i mean you still can't even jump with lots of other people which is a whole other ball game... i'm a very eager and energetic person and hear it all the time (the be patient part) also you might want to read this: http://collegeskydiving.com/tips-from-the-pros/freefly/13-freeflying-getting-started just a little food for thought

    freefly?

+1 Skydiving like everything requires a good base.
  21. I focused on learning as much as i can about my gear so i understood what each parts purpose was. I also spent a lot of time working on my canopy skills and i mean a lot and plus high pulls are fun. I did 4 high pulls on both my first and now my second (smaller) canopies practicing drills i learned from the pro canopy pilots that jump at my DZ. I would also recommend taking a canopy course it is very helpful having you landings filmed then having a debrief from professionals. The reason i am glad for this is because it in my mind makes me a safer skydiver since their have been so many fatalities while under canopies. I want to be as safe as possible since i really enjoy my life as it is.
  22. I was at the game last night and Tebow didn't prove shit. both teams play was disgraceful. The only reason the Broncos won was b/c Sanchez threw that INT. In addition Greene got injured on the 3rd play of the game and LT was injured last week against the Pats. 1 drive where the QB has most of the yards doesn't prove shit it proves that the Jets D is terrible at containment. if you watched most of Tebow's throws it seemed like he was afraid of putting the ball anywhere near his receivers b/c he was afraid of getting an INT. im my opinion both teams deserved to lose that game. and the Jets fan in me loathes brian schottenheimer the jets offensive coordinator NEEDS to be fired ASAP my 2 cents
