The picture below shows part of the 206 school buses sitting in a flooded parking lot in New Orleans Each of these 206 buses holds 65 people 13,000 people per trip. They had two days warning. How many trips could they have made to Baton Rouge? If you figure on loading and return taking 6 hours total, each bus could have made a total of 8 trips X 13,000 = 104,000 people that could have been moved from harms way. Just a few yes

here are a few

yes I was shocked to find out the state willing with held food and water from the people, must not have been a election year
-
no kerry

Na much better killing ass holes that are trying to stop free people from building nation with a freely elected gov't with the USA's help. My guess is you voted for a man that 10 out of 10 terrorist preferred.
-
I just wonder what he took to protect Mr clinton, must have been bad!

if the Mayor had not panicked and followed the plan the "looter" would not need to be "stealing" the bus but riding it Because I am not a antigun liberal, I have and can use a weapon. The fact that someone may try to shoot me while doing what the mayor should have been doing would not present a problem.
-
your point is mute here in florida anyway we have a good mayor and govener who has a plan and uses it. Which includes using school busses well be forewarned this guy can return fire and will. And it wouldn't be just me. I'd take a liberal or two. Just so I can have someone to argue with....
-
sure they did, after school busses you can use box trucks and 18 wheelers. Granted not a limo ride but this is a evac. never heard any screams in florida when we use school busses. Well the CWA did yell when some drivers were going to work for free.

Had a little fun at the DZ last Sunday

go Billy go -
they were major storm events is all I am saying w/o looting
-
maybe you don't get out much, I have and I have lived in Florida for 20 years. Come to Sebastian and I'll show you. Getting hit by 2 hurricanes in a month is hardly minor. I alone had $50,000 worth of damage and have people on my street still in trailers. No looting here at all, unless you count fema claims in south florida and yes they should be shot.
-
the best man won W2 get over it, I see now why you are afraid to say the locals dropped the ball. You are still upset that the better man won. Get over it.
-
yea it did not happen in Florida. It's called socialism, thinking the gov't owes you something, and the poverty pimps like Jesse Jackson trying to stir up class warfare
-
winsor had style for sure

no smash needed the doors are all open, the streering isn't even locking. a number of busses were, to bad it had to come to that. perhaps they will elect a mayor that can cope next time.
-
The USPA has handled it with it in the SIM. If the DZO or the STA did not understand the SIM all they would have done is ask for help. The USPA (the fed) even called to ask if they needed help with spotting and was told "we need to think about it" Let me clear it up for you..... the people with out a ride are not to blame other thank perhaps a lack of creativity to "find" a way out. The mayor and the governor are much less innocent
-
we agree for once not by a long shot, but go on not by a long shot, however if the bus was full of plasma tv's vcrs and jeans that might be different.
-
LOL could be You know after the 2ed hurricane in central florida the men on our street went to each house seeing if everyone was ok, seeing if anyone needed anything. Chain saws were fired up and we cleared our street and the ones around it. All of that with out a single tax dollar. You take care of yourself, family and the "hood" All this with out anyone looting or shooting. what was it JFK said? "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

I need your help.....................................................

unless you know all the facts, i would not want to be a self appointed judge of anyone -
then is it the uspa's fault? NO it's the dzo and the sta. I would surely get into the loft and borrow one, but i would NOT burn down the loft. And see that it got back to the loft after it was all over. btw I can hot wire a bus in under 2 minutes. no tools needed, just a old piece of wire. IF I was in the area with out wheels I would get out. I would even take some lefties with me, if they would come

Thanks I'll take down one more level, the skydiver should have looked out the door before exiting (left when told to evac)
-
city, parish and state Gov'ts The city and the parish and the state are closest and responsible for first response. It's like complaining about the uspa not doing anything about bad spots and a off student status skydiver getting killed for a off landing and finding out the gps was turned off. They (the locals) were there and did nothing. They had a GPS (the busses) but left them off (in the parking lot) If the locals had followed the SIM things would have been different. BTW those that refused to evac and could are no ones fault but their own.

yep I am happy.
