It took me a little while to get used to Premier Pro after using older versions for a long time. The learning curve is definitely worth it though. Single track editing is much more powerful than A/B editing which is why all the pros use this method. The audio mixer is the way to go when editing audio. It allows you to mix all of your audio tracks while playing back the video. This is a much easier in my opinion. The main features that make it worth while for me is the tight integration between other Adobe apps. I use Photoshop, After Effects, and Encore DVD and they all work together like a single application. The overall worflow is much improved but does take wome time to get used to. Stick with it. You won't regret it.

Commonly misused words in dropzone.com forums and rec.skydiving
IGOLOW replied to peek's topic in The Bonfire
For some reason it drives me crazy when people use "alot" as a single word. -
I'm not sure what the cost is for AFF at Pepperel but if it is 3K I would look at going to boston-providence. The AFF course there is $2000 all the way through to your A license. They even allow you to fail a couple of levels and repeat them for that price.

I didn't even have to Email Mirage. Within 20 minutes of my post I received an Email from Jeff Johnston at mirage. This should have been included with my rig and they are sending it right out. Now that's customer service

How is the elastic lumbar support attached and did you have to ask for this as an option? I got my new G4 and it did not have this.

IGOLOW Oh wait a minute. I had that plate before I started jumping.

No. It works just like a standard remote control works. The transmitter has to be pointed directly at the receiver. I've actually been working on designing my own audible and it wouldn't be too dificult to add this capability. That brings up a good question. What features that are not currently available in existing audibles would be of interest?
-
It's a litle more complicated than just a cable. It's actually a wireless connection between the protrack and the jumptrack cable. If you look at the back of the protrack you can see the transmit LED. The cable has a clip that the protrack sits in that has a receiver.

Here is one http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/dvd2mpg.html. This site contains many others.

the same was said about CD-R burners... when there is will, there is a way O I'm not saying it isn't possible to copy a DVD. As you can see from my first post I have done it myself. What I am saying is that I don't know of any DVD-Burner manufacturer that ships software with their drive that allows you to bypass security measures that are in the disc. CDs never contained this type of security.
-
There is also a program called DVD X-COPY that si supposed to make an exact copy of the disc. I'm not sure exactly what it does or how well it works. I think it's a little too expensive ($100.00). The smartripper software may be a little more time consuming but it is free. I doubt that the drive would ship with software that would allow a direct copy of a commercial DVD disc. This would mean that they would have to bypass security encryption in the disc.

Check out this site http://www.digital-digest.com. They have information on making copies of DVDs. Most of the time an original dvd takes up more than one layer of a disc. What I normally do is rip the DVD using smartripper. This will rip off only the movie tracks that are needed. It will leave out all the extra stuff on the disc. It also removes any encryption that would normally prevent you from copying the disc. Then I use dvdit to burn the DVD.

Just ordered my first rig (I know, I know). After considering my options I decided to go with a Mirage. I tried on several containers and liked the way the Mirage fit. Everyone at my dropzone that has a Mirage seems to be very happy with it. My girlfriend made the decision a little easier for me. She bought me a complete rig for christmas (Cypress, Sabre II 135, PD Reserve 126, and a Mirage G4). I think I found a keeper!!!!
