somebody was at the wrong place at the wrong time!! -
Am I the only one who get this problem with a 101 any advise or suggestion? Is there a way to change the autoshutdown delay?*** my 101 and cam eye 2 work fine......try plugging a different cam eye into it and see if that works
-
cobalts rock!!!!! my opinion from my experience.
-
you can read all the books you want to, but until you've had a whuffo strapped in front of you, your just relaying theory and supposition instead of actual knowledge.
-
unplug the cameye-II and see if it keeps doing it......if it works ok with it unpluged then the problem is either with the cameye or the lanc port good luck
-
had that happen on my trv-67 after a couple of years..... turned out that the lanc port got connection inside the camera was loose and shorting out.
-
i resemble that remark!!!

i used to have a sabre with about 3000 jumps on it...it was about 10 years old when it blew up

no hi-8 huh?
-
yeah i realized that after i responded.... so i guess i should check my facts before i climb up i do agree with you, i put about 600 jumps on the batwing before i downsized... my personal opinion is you should learn how to surf with a bigger canopy before you have to surf with a little one. in other words it should be the pilot skills and not canopy design. blue skies and rant on if it involves safety
-
don't set it to sport mode and see if that helps.....what your filming shouldn't be moving that fast relative to the camera. never never set to autofocus. have fun and experiment
-
oops, just went and checked billdo's profile. my apologies if you were refering to him

uhmmm dude chill...... i said 300 or so 0n a cobalt 120. i have a total of 1311 spread out over the cobalt, a stilleto 135, batwing 170,saber 170 various student canopies...... and oh yes 36 on t-10's also courtesy of uncle sam. as far as your soap box rant i do agree with it... i just wish you would check your facts before you climb up on it. oh yeah i forgot a couple on a crossfire 2- 99

Brand New Optik ... NEW to camera flying
underdog replied to KawiZX900's topic in Photography and Video
makes sense to me -
i have 300 jumps on my cobalt 120 and i also load it at 1.8 to one. i am a vidiot and i love jumping this canopy with a camera. it slammed me a couple of times after i first got it but then i figured out were it liked the slider to be when packed and it has been great ever since. like any highly loaded eliptical a good body position at pull time is a must. also each individual canopy has a certain way it likes to be packed. once you learn how that is i think your gonna be suprised. any way, have fun "just my opinion and you know what those are like"

Brand New Optik ... NEW to camera flying
underdog replied to KawiZX900's topic in Photography and Video
i'm not gonna tell ya what to do...... buuuut my advise would be to put the helmet back in the box and put it in the closet, hang the wingsuit up somewere so you can look at it every now and again. use the camera to take pics of your girlfriend, wife ect. and learn how to skydive. after 100 or so more jumps take out the wingsuit and learn how to fly it. when you can do that then take the box out of the closet then take the helmet out of the box and jump it untill your comfortable with it ..... then find your local vidiot god and start learning. this is just my opinion and you know what opinions are like -
i shoot a rebel -g...... most people i know use that or a rebel 2000.they are great for skydiving. for tandems get a 28mm wide angle lense
-
always expect the worst, that way you're never dissapointed and sometimes your happily suprised...... that's my 2 cents, now to deflect this thread a little..... i'm an old man moving into the new millineum... i.e. replaced my trv 67 with a pc 101 and have to move on from my reliable and comfortable hanson to something new and improved. i've been using a friends half rak but i'm not real impressed.... are there any videits out there using a bonehead optic that have any opinions they would be willing to share ? preferably from those that shoot a lot of tandems and aff. " you can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose "

whatsa matter freeflir29....... tandems out surfin ya ?

i just bought a new pc 101, everything seems to be identical to a pc 9 except at the top were the hot shoe would attatch. i would think the biggest difference would be upgraded electronics. if you can afford it buy the newest product available, sony products hold up very well when used in the skydiving enviroment so you really don't need to wait and see if a newer model is as durable as an olderdone blue skies
