Found it.....in the garage. Thanks.. turned it off. I'll wait an hour and if the smell is still there or gets worst beforehand, I'll call the fire dept.

BWHAHAHA....you are sooo funny...LOL That was it. How'd you guess...it was just a sad ploy to gain attention from Virginia Beach's finest. I'm cleaning and dusting as we speak so the house will look nice when they do come over.. You'll feel bad if my house catches on fire.

so I'm a little over protective... but the smell is overwhelming and it's from inside the walls.. I have kids and I'll have the whole fire dept. over here if needed..

I've looked all over the house and can't find anything......no smoke...but there is a burning smell...electrical. Two lights in seperate rooms dimmed and then went back on at the same time. The smell is still there....upstairs and in the dining room. Any ideas?? Should I call the fire dept or an electrician immediately?

My daughter invited me to lunch at school today. She's my youngest..almost 10. She was holding my hand and showing me where everything was(even though I've been there a million times.) She wanted me to tell her friends about how much I hate my dog. (He is well loved and cared for , I just hate him. ) Just little things that I know she thinks are hysterical and she wants me to share. Then we made fun of the mean lunch lady together.. not to her face of course. My kids make me feel important.

You are such a lucky girl. I am so jealous that you get to fly away to London... so many things I wish that I had done when I was younger. I'll go someday when the kids are older and I don't feel guilty leaving them. Wish I was rich enough to take them.. Don't get me wrong....I love being a mother (have been since I was 19).. just wish sometimes I could fly away at the drop of a hat. Have fun and I look forward to the pics so I may live vicariously through you.

I feel sorry for the girl actually and think she really lacked parental supervision in a big way. She was just free to do whatever she wanted with whatever money she had with no boundaries set. I have a hard time labeling people classless or skanky..... We never know what they've been through or what has led them to where they are today. Plus...the world would be a boring place if we were all the same.

I understand that... but that wasn't what I was referring to. I didn't mean disagreements over politics, etc and those opinions differing from moderators. I meant in regards to how things are run.

Hence, i did not reply to anyone....I wasn't accusing anyone in this thread of "sucking up." I was just stating that it happens.....ten different posts telling people to leave over one differing opinion .

I know there are plenty of things that become annoying..but what also annoys me is if anybody dares have a different opinion from that of moderators/etc... they get a dozen posts telling them to go elsewhere if they don't like it. I see no problem with someone expressing their opinion. And yes, if they don't like it they can leave, but the sucking up annoys me more than the IBTL . edit..and yes I have donated before.

I think she felt bad------but I do remember puking up a grilled cheese that my grandmother put mayo on -- and she made me clean it up I think I was 7...I have never, nor will I ever force my children to eat anything they don't want. I ask them to try it but if they don't that is just fine.

you are making me gag actually, I think I hate it because of early childhood trauma. My mother made me a ham sandwich with mayo on it. I hated mayonnaise and I wouldn' t eat it. She then took a big spoonful of mayo and made me eat it (holding my mouth open and shoving the spoon down my throat )as punishment for "wasting food.""... I believe I threw up all over the kitchen table. She swears she doesn't remember the incident..
