  5. Don't you know how to make a girl feel good.. Actually sunscreen and a bestfriend owning a skincare clinic can do wonders... I did have her when i was 19......that would make me 34
  6. Me toooooooooooooooo. It's so hard when you realize how much they've grown. With my oldest turning 15 in a couple weeks, I am slowly starting to freak out. The other morning it was soooooooo cold out and I wanted to drive her to school instead of her standing in the freezing air waiting for the bus at 6am. She said......" no, mom." "But Lauren," I say... "it's freezing out.." "Mother, I want to go to the bus stop.. I have friends...I have a life." "But it's freeeeeeeeeeezing, " I tell her again. "Mama," she says......."sometimes life is freezing....bye bye..." Thank goodness my youngest (10 and 11) will still snuggle with me. I always thought that once they got older I would appreciate my freedom. It does have it's benefits but I long for the smell of baby powder again. I just can't fathom never having another child. It's what I do...LOL My baby making days are not over yet... I still have some good eggs left in me..

  9. Definitely agree with you here. As angry and upset as I'd be it is best left to the law to deal with and let the abuser suffer his own doings in prison with Bubba. I would do my child absolutely no good by being in prison for murder. The child is already going to be confused and upset just from being molested and with the parent in jail they would feel some sort of guilt for the parent being there even though it's not their fault.. that's just how kids are. I would not let my child carry around that burden......and you can't protect them when you are in jail.
  10. ] Ummmmmm.....yes I have...on many occasions and am aware of the delay. It wasn't delay....he just wouldn't be quiet..LOL Yes I have and it doesn't change my opinion. They also said that crocs in captivity were likely to associate humans with food because they are fed by humans making them more dangerous....not purposely obviously, they just assoc. humans with food where as in the wild their natural instinct is to run from people. I am a mother of three and believe me I have well done my research. I have read numerous books on early childhood development, have spent many hours in pediatricians office discussing the develpment of MY infants as well as belonging to mother/child groups. Women and children who get together to discuss the development of the babies as well as make friends, etc. I was also a member of La Leche League . Besides all of this spending time observing my own children and cooing to them, playing with them and giving them sensory experiences as babies, I think I'm more than informed on the subject. A baby knows the mother from being carried in her womb for nine months....the infant recognizes her voice and her smell........ guarantee STeves baby did not recognize the croc. Anyway....agree to disagree.....and I don't think I'm misinformed... but your opinions are noted.. thanks
  11. I understand he has to teach his children about it but again.....a 4 week old baby has no understanding of anything that is going on. That child got no "lesson" out of that experience. I saw Steve give an interview on the Today show and he would not stop for a second to even let questions be asked. He then had Bindy sit on his lap and give an obviously rehearsed answer to a rehearsed question. The Michael Jackson statement may have not been the correct comparison, I understand.. I still stand by how I feel about the Irwin situtation... Roy Horn had been around those Tigers all of his adult life and still ended up being hurt. But anyway....just my opinion...
  12. I would not take his children away and am not saying he's a bad parent, but I do think I fall into the category of people gasping in horror when I saw the clip. My mom said I was an irresponsible parent when I went skydiving and I wondered if I was. I t's a personal scale for each of us. It's instinctual for me as a mother to worry about kids... not just mine, but all. That's a good one...
  13. Zen....I understand your position....I'm just stating mine. Not changing my mind on how I feel about it nor am I asking you to change yours. I make my kids wear helmets when riding their bikes BUt I get your point...
  14. I'm sure he is aware of the risks...I love Steve too. But as a mother, it freaked me out a bit--okay a lot. But then again I cringe when my kids climb to the top of the jungle gym.
  15. I just think he took an unecessary risk with his baby. Like skydiving....shit happens and the baby is only a month old. Not a toddler, but barely out of the womb.
  16. http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/video.adp?id=20040102113809990001 Did anyone else see this....??? This definitely beats out Michael Jackson hanging his baby over the balcony. BRISBANE, Australia (Jan. 2) - Crocodile hunter Steve Irwin took his month-old son to his first croc feeding on Friday, offering the reptile a chicken with one hand and holding the baby in the other. With a capacity crowd looking on, Irwin dangled a dead chicken before the 13-foot crocodile named Murray, which snapped up the offering. Irwin's tiny son Bob looked on from his other arm. Playing with fire? "He's one-month-old, so it's about time Bob got out there and did his first croc demo," the Australian celebrity told the crowd at his Australian Zoo. Irwin's wife Terri, who gave birth to her second child on Dec. 1, also attended the show, billed as Bob's "croc feeding debut."
