They both do the same amount of work if he continues to help after he gets home. Some men don't. Some men come home from work and do nothing else. If you noticed my whole post --I did say that this is not about ALL marriages and that plenty of husbands help when they get home and this is only an EXAMPLE. And I've seen it. I've seen women who work around the clock. Getting up in the middle of the night with the kids when they are sick.. taking them to all of their practices, etc and the men come home expecting dinner on the table. It does exist and as I said it is only one example.

Oh I know and I am in complete agreement with you on the whole thing.

I found this out when trying to buy wine on a Sunday in Georgia once. When they explained it to me I was somewhat blown away. What about religious freedom in this country? There are more people here than just Christians.. isn't there supposed to be separation of church and state?? Did not make sense to me whatsoever. I said to the guy.. well what if I'm a Buddhist? ( i have no ideas if Buddhists even drink, I just threw it out there..) And he said.. "ma'am.. the laws of Georgia only care about the Christian folk. " Not kidding. On the topic of which sin is greater.. Like Chuteless said, the Bible says that no one sin is greater. There are many people who will use the Bible to judge others yet these same people will do other things that are also deemed sinful. They will judge you and stone you for doing something if they disagree with it but they can do other things which they think aren't as bad... Like there are some posters who have been divorced, had premarital sex, post porn, lust in the boobie threads yet will tell you you're going to hell for having an abortion. According to the Bible none of these would be the greater sin.

That is true.......I won't have to cook anymore..

I can see your point. But what I think the study was saying is that women usually do the lions share of the work when it comes to housework and childraising, etc. They have said that being a stay at home mom is comparable to having something like two or three full time jobs. Something like that anyway.. ( Before I am flamed I know there are plenty of marriages where the husbands contribute enormously in everyway and it is all peachy groovy.) The thing is , in a lot of marriages the husbands come home from work and sit down or have quiet time to read the paper or whatever. Meanwhile.. the woman has been home all day cleaning, dealing with sick kids, postwhoring on dz.com and when it's 5, she cooks dinner , helps with the kids homework, cleans up the kitchen, gives the kids a bath, puts them to bed. In other words.......she never gets off of work. So, men may seem to benefit more from marriage than women do . Again.. I know that it is not like this in all marriages. This is only an example.

I read somewhere recently where married women were the least happy of any group..LOL And that married men were the happiest. It was all over the news so I'm sure I could find a source if I looked.

Are whuffos really that stupid, or is it just me?

Never hurts to ask no matter what is written. The answer is always no if the question isn't asked. If I went by everything that is just written without asking for exceptions, etc. then I wouldn't have been able to do many things. -
Again, I gotta ask, A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT? REALLY?

We even have the so called.. "Spouse Eliminator" here in Virginia Beach. They are open for calls 24 hours a day. -
Yeah... I know. They can't help they got put in the Hornet. In fact, the Dogs are transitioning as soon as they return home but to an E instead of the F. We just like to give them a hard time.. Things aren't the same.. that's for sure.
-
Tell them they're no fun anymore now that they've transitioned..

I know that feeling... Have had to beg him to stop.. heehee I agree.. I can't imagine saying .."sorry, all done here." Like I said, the only person I've ever faked it with was my ex.. and that was at the very end of our marriage and wasn't healthy, etc. But we live and learn and I am extremely happy now.
-
I am all for that... believe me. I am all for watching and enjoying that completely, etc. .. I should have clarified. It was toward the end of our marriage so there were many problems and I was still clinging to anything. I had sex with him when I shouldn't have and because there was no emotion left in it I just faked it to end it. I didn't feel like going through the drama of.."well why didn't you..." etc. which is what would of happened.
-
you can still be humid and fake it..LOL
-
If someone is faking it everytime then there is a problem...LOL That person needs to be more upfront about what trips her trigger. That being said , there were times with my ex that I pulled a Meg Ryan because I just wanted it to end and he wouldn't until he thought I Had... oooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyeeeeeeeessssssss......

awwwwwwwwwwwwww... will you marry me???

Good luck, sweetie. I know it must be hard. I followed my husband all over the country for 11 years. Luckily in the Navy you get pretty nice places to live. San Diego was by far my most favorite place, but it was still hard picking up and moving and starting all over again every couple years. It definitely made me a stronger person and with your honey being retired he understands. It's always the transition part of waiting for orders that is the hardest. That constant state of limbo.... and not knowing where or when we'd be leaving, etc. I thought I'd hate Virginia after leaving California but it has definitely grown on me. I always told my husband that he needed to go where he thought was best for his career. I didn't want to be responsible for him being unhappy in his job. On the other hand, sometimes I did resent following him around all the time... LOL.. don't listen to me, I'm rambling now and I'm separated from the guy so what do I know.. Best of Luck and I hope it all works out just like you want it..

One of the first posts I read from you is where you were saying something falsely about a moderator on the forum... I didn't think that was very nice. I don't know you but sometimes if you wish to be treated well, you should treat others with the same respect.

I was wondering......I figured something was very off ...

come on..why do you assume that they are fantasizing about your crotch? If you use that logic you might as well lock yourself up in the house and never go out.

Putting a check down while customer is still eating
misskriss replied to Chiquita's topic in The Bonfire
I feel rushed when someone puts the check down before I'm done at dinner. It's like they are saying hurry up and get out of here. If I'm in a hurry , I'll ask them to bring me the check when they are filling my glass and that way I can pay for it and get it over with even before I'm done eating. If it's breakfast or lunch it doesn't bother me too much but I like to linger over dinner. -
I had chocolate eaten off of me this past weekend.. I was literally Lady Godiva..
