  1. good tips.. My favorite rope is a red one.. belts work too and no knots to worry about .. can actually be buckled nice and tight around the wrists. The ropes work better for the ankles though what with tying to the bedposts and all.

  7. It stormed so hard here last night... I was lying in bed talking on the phone and the rain is coming down. The wind was literally howling and I could hear my back gate banging. It's thundering and lightning and then it started to hail. The dog started whimpering and barking under the bed and wouldn't come out.. then I hear the emergency bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz go off on my daughters radio coming from her room. I ran in to listen and I guess a tornado had touched down northeast north carolina/south east virginia and listed the counties to take cover. When she said Virginia Beach, I woke up all the kids took pillows and blankets and ran downstairs where we crowded in the bathroom. I went out to put on the weather channel just in time to hear a lady again say to take cover and then the power went out. I knew that it probably would not come anywhere near us but the feeling of complete powerlessness was just frightning. Here I was with my babies and trying to keep them safe and the images of the house falling down around us just flashed through my mind. The front blew through so fast and it was all over as quickly as it had started. Obviously the tornado didn't come anywhere near us but it scared the shit out of me.
  8. The new prozac? I really don't know what to say to that... Talk to each other...friends make better therapists sometimes. The same with drinking.. yeah it numbs the pain for awhile, but the worst time to actually have a drink is when you think you NEED one.
  9. What a rockin sex life the Donaldsons must have..
  10. It's the damn jeans.. They are made much lower cut than in the 80's when the the button was above the belly button. They need to make the sweaters longer.. I am always pulling my sweater down..
  11. I love that song and have been wondering who sings it as well.......Thanks!!
  12. That is soooooooooo not fair...LOL I definitely have to watch what I eat and work out or I will gain weight. When I was younger I could eat anything but not anymore..I think I've gained a pound by simply looking at a cheesecake once..
  13. I avoid them whenever possible... It's hard because it is in just about everything. It's especially hard when picking out healthy foods for the kids. Trans fat is everwhere..
  14. Their cobb salad with grilled chicken and the low fat balsamec vinegar is actually not that bad.
  15. Completely agree with this one. When I was first married I remember my husband calling one of his "girl" friends (she was an ex) to discuss our problems. That is turning away from the relationship instead of working on it with the person you are actually involved with. I've been guilty of it as well but never again.
  16. I think most people did come up with their own..
  17. Please no tighty whities.........EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr
  18. A family doesn't have to consist of just a Father and Mother.. What about children who don't have both. What about orphans , etc. What about those who live with grandparents, aunts and uncles? A family is a group of people who love each other take care of one another. They don't even have to be related.
  19. yep... She and Gil
  20. They were on the Today show this morning holding hands.. They're going to try and "make a go" of it.

  22. I Know.. That was so stupid!!! The whole last fifteen minutes just blew my mind.
  23. I'm so sorry for your loss. I had to make the difficult decision to put a pet to sleep one time and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. You did what was best given the circumstances. Your pup was in pain and I'm sure the Vet knew what he was talking about. Try not to feel guilty even though I know it's easier said than done and lots of hugs for you. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
