Why can't I pull my front risers?
jsaxton replied to GPSJane's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I am not a canopy expert, instructor, or anyone who should be considered a credible source but, I have found that front riser pressure can be greatly reduced by pulling your slider all the way down behind your neck. Be sure you have some system to secure the slider down in such a way that it does not obstruct your view or slide back up -

Barrel rolls on big ways: Was - Fatality - Z-Hills, FL
jsaxton replied to aresye's topic in Safety and Training
Once you meet these MINIMUM requirements: ---- cut here ---- Minimum experience required: 250 jumps, 50 jumps in the last 12 months, have been on at least a 20 way and have the ability to close 12th or later on a consistent basis. ---- cut here ---- I HIGHLY recommend the P3 BigWay Camp at Perris. Be sure to ask about what you should do i you go low before the first jump though. -
Meby not hot, The mantion of an AOD (they're called AADs these days) _may_ indicate this is an old timer emptying out the closet.

I've also seen the release catch actually CONNECTED to the large ring
-
Ths only problem I've ever seen where an RSL could cause a major malfunction is a misrouted RSL release clasp that interferes with the 3ring system. I've caught that on jumpers a couple of times.
