that sounds right. the problem is likely that you havent set XP to use the DHCP assigned IP addresses. (if you check your router configuration, you'll probablly find it has a range of IPs it assigns to each machine as they connect. I dont have XP on this machine otherwise i could walk thru the panels to tell you how to set it for DHCP. i will when i get home, theres two laptops on the home lan with XP, i just configured them ages ago and the method is slighty different from 98se to 2000 to XP. i'll be there...ussually in purple Dakine freefly pants and whatever shirt is clean...unless i'm belly flying then its your basic black used airspeed jumpsuit (it can fly even if i cant
