was at Red Rocks when U2 filmed "Under a Blood Red Sky" never have been able to find myself in the video though. Red Rocks has got to be the greatest venue ever for a concert. saw the first H.O.R.D.E. tour there too Big Head Todd, the Samples, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveller... helluva show

That's the perfect way to get help from a plumber.... start calling them names

Just to clarify... many of the wide angle lenses (my sigma 14mm for instance) are not flat in front and can't accomodate a standard threaded filter. A small slot is provided at the back of the lens (camera side) to put a gelatin filter in between the lens and the camera

You must work for Intel. Can you get me one? Seriously though, I don't think I've ever seen on board video, if indeed that's what you're talking about. Is the card simply a package deal with the mobo? If so, what type is it?

Don't tell me "Bambi meets King Air" created pleasant images of butterflys and moonbeams in your head.

Quade did you ever buy a new video cam?

The problem with a stroboframe directly on MY video camera is that it would need to be removed every time I needed to change the tape ( bottom loading tape). that's what's nice about the D-box something to consider if your camera is a bottom loader as well -
here's the response I recieved when I asked about their lenses "We do not carry different lenses. We may be able to purchase them through our supplier. I would have to check with them on the pricing."

ok, so I'm stupid... twincam 88s were introduced in '99 then? I DO know the diff between a dyna and a softtail, but was going from memory of a quick glance at your photo. I own an '03 Heritage, and my buddy has an '03 Buell. both excellent bikes in their own right. One more suited to cruising/racking up the miles, the other incredibly fun flicking around the corners on mountain roads. Now if I can just talk the wife into letting me have a second bike
-
not true... although the engines are both made by harley davidson, the buell runs a 883sportster (new buells can have a 1200) and the dyna runs a big twin (1450cc evo I think)

Don't let this scare you away from the Sigma lenses. I think the problem is only with older Sigma lenses, I know all the lenses I have are new Sigmas and they've never given me any problem. In fact, I've been told by people who have more experience with Canons then myself that my 14mm Sigma is actually better than Canon's similar lens.

I laughed so hard my stomach hurts. Then I printed it out and hung it at my desk. The secretary is pretty pissed which makes it all the funnier

Hmmm... useful information in "Talk Back". Doesn't that violate some kind of rule or something?

This latest hassle was when we were flying to Rantoul this year. I tried to very calmly explain to all involved the whole deal about the TSA and USPA working everything out, etc... It seems to be a case of too little education being worse than none.

Assuming you're flying out of DIA.... leave plenty of time if you want to carry it on. It may work, but you may have to fight about it for a while and end up checking it. (happened to me). And if you have a cypres, forget about that little laminated card. I might as well have told them I was a terrorist and it was a bomb. They recognized the card and freaked out about it. Took about two hours and five or six links up the chain of command to convince them to even let me check the rig. Good luck!

There was an incident here in Boulder a few years ago where a cop emptied two 18 round clips at a perp, missed with all shots and ended up hiding under her car. The perp walked up and shot her. Sad state of affairs....

No idea why they discontinued it... I use mine to sight in.

For me, it seems to depend on the canopy. With Lightnings at various wing loadings, I seem to get the best drive with no input whatsoever. I actually put my hands behind my back and steer with the harness. Typically, I'll be flying back alongside several other CReWdogs and can outdrive any of them who are using inputs. On my Alpha 94 (~2.1/1) or Viper 120 (~1.6/1) a little bit of rear risers seems to work best although there are not as many identical canopies flying next to me to compare to

you'll need a capture card with RCA input jacks. the card will most likely come with some basic software that will help you. the card will need to be installed in a PCI slot so if you've never cracked the case of your computer, you'll probably need someone to help you. come to think of it... there may be some usb type solutions out there now

In all the years I've used it, I haven't had a problem. I've also seen several setups using just the stroboframe and no additional straps. I guess the variable here would be the female threads on your camera. If those were to strip out, or if the threaded portion were to become detatched from the camera, then obviously you would have a problem. If you're not completely secure with the setup as is, throw another strap on it. It couldn't hurt could it?

I have had some problem with the cork plate on the stroboframe. Granted, it's been a couple of years now, and the problem is between the cork and the stroboframe plate rather than the cork and the camera but I think I'll get an anti-twist plate when I set up my new helmet

Lots of pictures of the Tommy "Pull-my-finger" Neederlander dogs. You one of them? Is this the "Gap" in France that I've heard about?
