10, 1 rig, I packed them all, and all from 13,500+ If this weather keeps up I'll never get that again FrogLady

In your situation the instructors may let you do 2 levels in one jump. I'd give them a call and let them look over you log book. FrogLady

Finally figured out how to post a picture

Agreed, have been asked why I'm so quiet for the past couple of week. It's hard to explain to wuffos that without jumping life sucks. FrogLady

Honestly, I didn't think you (collectively) would want that particular business. Does it help you if I call up and say, "I found xyz flight on abc airline, with the 'Internet Special' rate of $###. Please book it for me"? If you aren't getting any kickback from the airline, I'm not sure where your profit comes in. That isn't even taking into account that by the time I pick up the phone to call, I could generally already have the tickets ordered. Maybe I'm missing something, but between the fare-comparison websites and low-fare carriers like Southwest, can you really get me a better deal on an airfare-only reservation? I refering more to the inexpensive air hotel vacation packages. I only do air only for friends and past customers, because I can't beat what you can find on the internet or directly with the airlines. Congrats on the new family. FrogLady

It's true that the value might not be as high for the client on an inexpensive trip, but if the price is the same why not give the business to an agency so we can be there in the future. The album of your honeymoon is awesome, getting to travel and experience new places with your spouse is worth more than anything. FrogLady

There are a few reasons your finding less and less travel agents. 1. airlines no longer pay commission to agents, used to be 10%, this alone put about half the agencies out of business. 2. internet, this has caused agencies to close offices and become e-businesses. Personally I've found this helps me, people come into my office a lot more educated in what they want. 3. 9-11 hurt the whole travel industry. For obvious reasons people have become scared to travel. As far as only booking high end travel, that depends on the agency you call. I'm more then happy to book the $399 special to Cancun or the $10,000 2 week safari. I just enjoy sending people on there dreams. FrogLady

Apple Vacations are a good value, have been in business 25+ years. There are only a couple downsides when you go with a charter. 1. They don't go very day of the week. 2. If the flight is delayed or canceled for plane problems they don't have a bunch of other planes sitting at the airport to pull in as a replacement. FrogLady

Most agencies do not charge any extra for package vacations and honeymoons. The wholesales we purchase the packages from pay us a commission anywhere between 10-16% depending on how much business you do with them. This commission also give the agencies a chance to cut your costs so as not to be under sold by anyother agency. By the way your wedding photos are beautiful. FrogLady

Since I am a travel agent I'll say they are great for certian things. For the simple flight itinerary it's cheaper to go on line. Now if this is a vacation with hotels and cars involved an agent is the way to go, we can get packages that will save you money. Many of my clients come in with what they've found on then internet and are surprised by how much I can save them. FrogLady

Had more money to spend on jumping last year. Could afford to jump on zoo loads and just goof off. -
Congradulations! Now the fun begins. For now I'd stay on your belly, stay with small ways, and work on learning your canopy. FrogLady

Several people I know have over a 1000 jumps on their Tri's. Diablo's have the same material I have 600+ on mine. When I sent it to get relined I ask Aerodyn how may jumps they were seeing before the canopy need to be retired. Was told they had canopies still in the air with over 2000 jumps on them. Doesn't sound to me like it turns into a piece of trash. Guess it just depends on how you take care of your gear. FrogLady

I just have to make sure to warm up and stay that way for all my jumps. Keeping an active lifestyle is better for your back then resting it. I've also found by keeping my stomach muscles in shape my back does not ache as much. You'll also want to jump with good tennis shoes, Tevas are cool but don't give enough support and cushion for your back. FrogLady

Sit and Spin I love to get dizzy, probably the only person who injoys bed spins. It's fun to open and close your eyes to make them stop and start. FrogLady

I'd said I always wanted to try it. So my husband got me one for my 30th birthday. Went with a group of friends, we are the only 2 still jumping, and have a bunch of new friends. During the 1st year we jumped we could only afford 1 rig, we would meet each other at the peas and grab the rig to pack, so we could have our turn. FrogLady
