How about these?

Rooster The sign of the Rooster indicates a person who is hard-working and definite about their decisions. Roosters are not afraid to speak their minds and can therefore sometimes come across as boastful. They make good restaurant owners and world travellers

1970 Stepside Chevy. Had a wooden bed, 68 Corvette racing engine, racing clutch, three on the tree, and no power steering. Was a tank to drive but I loved it.

I've been informed by my parents that I loved to eat worms and would put all kinds of bugs in my mouth.

I waitress at night time and I'd say at least 6 out of 10 kids come in with some kind of game to play at the table. Trying to get an order out of them is impossible, the parents have to pull the games out of their hands to get and answer.

It's awesome that you do all that to protect you kids. Only one of them is a law. Given information you've choosen what you want to do to protect yourself and your family, no body else.

Nope, wish I did. Did a quick search but couldn't find the author. It's fun reading thur it and seeing how much has change in just a few years. Makes me feel old and happy at the same time so I guess I had a good childhood.

According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 40's, 50's, 60's, or even maybe the early 70's probably shouldn't have survived................ Our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paint. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets, .. and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets.(Not to mention the risks we took hitchhiking.) As children, we would ride in cars with no seatbelts or air bags. Riding in the back of a pickup truck on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle. Horrors! We ate cupcakes, bread and butter, and drank soda pop with sugar in it, but we were never overweight because we were always outside playing. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one actually died from this. We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then rode down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem. We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the street lights came on. No one was able to reach us all day. NO CELL PHONES!!!!! Unthinkable! We did not have Playstations, Nintendo 64, X-Boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, video tape movies, surround sound, personal cell phones, personal computers, or Internet chat rooms. We had friends! We went outside and found them. We played dodge ball, and sometimes, the ball would really hurt. We fell out of trees, got cut and broke bones and teeth, and there were no lawsuits from these accidents. They were accidents. No one was to blame but us. Remember accidents? We had fights and punched each other and got black and blue and learned to get over it. We made up games with sticks and tennis balls and ate worms, and although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes, nor did the worms live inside us forever. We rode bikes or walked to a friend's home and knocked on the door, or rang the bell or just walked in and talked to them. Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Some students weren't as smart as others, so they failed a grade and were held back to repeat the same grade. Horrors! Tests were not adjusted for any reason. Our actions were our own. Consequences were expected. The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke a law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law. Imagine that! This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers and problem solvers and inventors, ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

What would you say a skydiver wears a helmet for?
froglady replied to Conundrum's topic in The Bonfire
Everything already said, plus a full face helmet keeps me warmer. -
what's the lowest you've ever exited?
froglady replied to panzwami's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Was that me? 2 grand was my lowest, and will never do that again unless in an emergancy situation. Was at about 60 jumps and didn't give it much thought until I realized I had pitched at my hard deck. -
1st - watching a friends canopy fold up and go in to severe line twists at less then 100ft, nothing he could do, hit the taxi way. I knew before we reach him there was know way he could survive. 2nd - a week later another friend was fly over some buildings, he hit some turbulence, canopy spun up. Luckily he was able to keep it flying and hit hard in the grass but survived. I was unable to go near him until I was told he was going to be ok.

She was a rescue dog, I was only asked to keep her until she was all healed. After an hour I knew I'd never give her back.

Was looking at some old photos and found some cute ones of Hooter when she was a puppy. She's 12 now.

Vodka and any juice. Beer if not eating. Wine with food. Shots if in catch up mode or what to get trashed quick. Reading the above I guess I'll drink just about anything.

Good to hear all went well, the update helps me a lot in what to expect. Was it an option to be put out? I was told it would be a local and I could watch. How long until you can jump? Rest and let others take care of you. FrogLady

I have one on the underside of my wrist. It puts pressure on my main artery and the nerves to my hand, causing tingling in my hand. Have put off getting it removed because of the recovery time. Doc did try to drain it with a syringe, found out how close it was to the artery, punctured it, blood was every where had a big bruise for a while. Plan on getting it removed this winter. If you get a chance post an update after your surgery. FrogLady

"She is the most annoying dog you'll ever find when it comes to thunder. She gets scared, shakes, sheds, and climbs in your lap (She weighs about 45 pounds..). Not a lap dog!" My dog does the exact samething, have miss many a nights sleep due to thunderstorms. FrogLady
