    I suspect phony. In tandem seat aircraft the pilot in command or instructor generally takes the rear seat, not the front one. Here I thought you were always only wrong about politics!     That was the first thing I thought of when I read this. If you increase the area of the pilot without doing anything to the canopy, the wind will push the pilot farther forward, causing the centroid to move farther forward. Increasing the angle of attack. The opposite will happen (though in ordinary conditions I don't think it would make a noticeable difference), as it says in what you quoted above. When your canopy is flying through the air, a tailwind has no affect on how the canopy flies in relation to the air. Getting big with a tailwind or with a headwind will have the exact same effect. You will increase your drag, slowing you down. Your body will move back in relation to the canopy (usually very slightly) causing the canopy to steepen. We cannot use our bodies like sails. It doesn't make sense. Dave Gotcha. Interesting stuff.

    Also for shipping firearms. I had a 44 magnum sent back to the manufacturer for warranty work. They shipped it back UPS, it had to be signed by someone 21 or older. Ding ding ding!!! My father works for UPS, and he has to deal with all manner of BS from people. It's not the girl on the phone's fault that Mirage chose that option.

    I was driving to the dz to drop my rig (vector II) off for a reserve repack the other day. I had popped the reserve during my EP review, and had my rig sitting on the back seat. This day was particularly hot, and my A/C needs a recharge. So I rolled the driver's side window down, that is, until I saw a big yellow balloon in my rearview mirror. I nearly shit a brick as I frantically rolled it up. I was very impressed at how well it inflated! Flame on!
