They should. I've never been to the office once Pre-Reg starts so I'm not sure how easy/hard it is to locate... 217-222-5867.

OK...Only to interject this. My uncle is a TSA guy in a moderately busy airport in the midwest. In their office is an additional handwritten list of banned items. Sport parachutes are one of the handwritten items. I've personally been through PIA, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Denver, St Louis among a few others without issue this year. The rules are different at each airport so it's a crap shoot whether you'll have a problem or not. USPA needs to keep working with the TSA to get some reasonable expectations in place. Rule #1 though is not to lose your cool.

89$ at the WFFC, 65$ the last time I did one before I moved out of Colorado...

You can do it when you arrive. Pre-Registering allows you to also purchase jump tix so you don't have to wait in line at manifest to buy tix. Either way. Also, if you pre-register, it's just that extra push to get you to go...

The pilot actually has the final say as to whether or not your rig goes on board, but in light of these times where people are a little trigger happy, it definately won't be worth the battle taking it that far.

There will be two spots where you will be able to walk across the runway this year. Each spot will be cleary marked and have a crossing guard. If a recovery vehicle has not picked you up and you're near this area, go there. The crossing guard will advise you when he's been given the green light by the AirBoss to let you cross...

There aren't any. I looked last year.

No, he'll have an increase since we're having an internet cafe onsite. See, you could be cool and go to the WFFC and just post whore at the internet cafe instead of sitting on the sidelines...

WFFC replied to WFFC's topic in The Bonfire

Do I need to threaten him that Mary and I will go to 'bama to pick him up? I can borrow a gun rack for my truck so we'll be incognito...

Early Visit to Rantoul or the Village with the Cool Mayor
WFFC replied to WFFC's topic in The Bonfire
So, I get up Saturday mornng and make the 90 minute drive to Rantoul. Well, It's actually 82 minutes door to door driving 80, but anyhow. Get to Rantoul and catch up with Bernice and some other staffers for breakfast at Ott's. Good greasy spoon for those looking for somewhere in town. Anywho, head out to the airport to perform an early task for MartiniShotFilms then attend a volunteer meeting. Not a bad turnout and some returning faces. Mayor Neal Williams attends as well and commits time to volunteering as well. After the meeting, the mayor invites the staffers back to his place to hang out for a bit before we all drive home. So a couple of staffers are hanging their feet in the pool and Sheila (Mayors wife who now knows who the Rodriguez Brothers are - see official 2002 video) suggests that Neal do a cannon ball into the pool to splash the staffers who are hanging in the water. Well, said mayor allows me to get my video camera out of the truck to capture this priceless moment. On queue, the mayor takes the short run to the pool and yes, cannonballs it in for the pricesless moment of the day. BTW, this guy was so impress with all of us that he has been wearing a closing pin necklace since last year. When the time comes, find him on the grounds at the Convention and introduce yourself and let him know where you're from. The people or Rantoul really do appreciate us, probably more than you think. Mary and I threatened to go get him...
