Well, I think they may kick you out around the 25th. So, you may want to have a place to go after that. ----- ~~~Michael

I bow down, I'm not worthy! This is sounding like entertainment during the annual WFFC typhoon...it's indoors, dry...and well, dangerous...I'm game... ----- ~~~Michael

Yes...you can go. You must be a skydiver or a guest of a skydiver. If you've got your 3 jumps, I'm assuming you have your USPA (current) card, and your logbook. Take yourself to the registration tent, you'll register as a student which basically means you can't jump without an AFF instructor. Then, you're good to go. ----- ~~~Michael

The rule of common courtesy applies here now. I recall a sign just inside the door that either said no food/drink or no smoking. one of the two or both. just don't be a pig and make a mess and there won't be a problem. and most of all, pick up after your sloppy ass self. btw, chuck - need the seminar blurb for the calendar. ----- ~~~Michael

I heard they weren't gonna be doing the golfcart rental thing this year b/c so many people wrecked them and shit last year. could be wrong though. Where'd you hear that BS? Remember to ask me after you hear something questionable and I'll find the answer for you... ----- ~~~Michael

correct. It's in reference to differenciating the two - dad and junior.

They're not. the planes are maintained very well.

The pilot is an older guy and flys for fun mostly. He's got a 'few' hours (don't ask for specifics) and I believe he's had an engine out before.

So...I've had a couple work issues going on since 2:00 A.M. and only managed to get 1 or 3 resolved. The Sunnyone has been bugging me for a bit to get to the DZ since I never jump around here anyway. So, WTF comes to mind and I load up the truck and head out. Chat with a few on the phone on the drive and get to the DZ. Grab the last slot, gear up and head to the plane (C182, 4 slots). Takeoff and climb are uneventful. Got an aerial view of the town where my dad used to own a business...kinda cool. Well, about 9k, the pilot noses over and points it back to the DZ. Everyone is on their knees at this point. Sunny lets out a yipe (she's in the tail position). First thought in my head is 'Damn I'm gonna owe beer for this one'. Pilot give the command to exit, then says wait. He straightens out and says 'now go'. Out we go from 8200'. Two of us open high, two take it down and make a skydive out of it. All land a couple miles away from the DZ, the 182 lands without power. The damage? Cracked block plus unknown injuries underneath. The question is, since Sunny bugged me to her wits end to get me out to the DZ to jump, should she be responsible for buying my beer?

Uh huh...That's a thread all in itself...Stay tuned for 'Should Sunny by my Beer for this or not? ----- ~~~Michael

the truck is actually loaded, but I've got a work problem that's been going on for a few hours now. That has to get fixed first before I can do anything.
