USPA probably has something. ----- ~~~Michael

This is true. But, the end user was looking for assistance on finding said fun. Wanted to be directed to the advertised specials. Simple request. Approached the owners and they didn't help him at all. Even though they were busy, they need to take the time to take care of business. You're never to busy to take care of the customer right? If they couldn't have helped him, they should have passed him off to another staffer (e.g. read 'follow me, hello fellow staffer, please take care of this guy') Had this happened, we probably wouldn't be discussing this. Personal experience on this dictates to me that this isn't a true statement at all. Had it not been for Tish, someone who I had met many moons ago at the WFFC, I would have chalked up my experience as a total disaster and waste of time. Larger DZs can be very cliquey. Someone who is new or visiting a larger DZ (this experience is not limited to SDC) can be left in the dust. If the customer asks for something, don't brush them off, as appears to have happened in this case. Find them the answer or worst case, put them with some of the jumpers that are there having fun. We're all in this together aren't we? ----- ~~~Michael

Hey, I've still got my get out of jail free card for that one...that one was beyond the WFFC's and the plane owner's control. ----- ~~~Michael

I made my 50th today, Or I cant wait to jump at Rantoul
WFFC replied to kai2k1's topic in The Bonfire
On top of all of what Phree and the Sunnyone have said, if you don't feel comfortable going up due to winds, too many planes, clouds, etc. Sit...there's always plenty of jumping to do later...People will definately push you to your limits here. Staying within your comfort level is what you need to do. I also highly recommend hanging in Tent 3 for at least your first full day. From experience, started my first WFFC in Tent 3. Beginning of rhe day, the 3 of us plus the load org (Mark from Austrailia - Last I knew he was at West Tennessee) barely put two together. By the end of the day, we turned 9 or 10 points on a 4 way and my flying skills (and everyone else's in the group) improved drastically. Let's all be careful out there.. ----- ~~~Michael -

$69. Answered this for you over on the WFFC Message board...Note: Non Skydivers need to be accompanied by a registered skydiver. The skydiver will be responsible for making sure their guest has fun and doesn't get too out of control at the WFFC. Come on, there are only so many jello shots one person can intake in a day... ----- ~~~Michael

Not really. Just your name and photo ID. Check your credit card statement and make sure you got charged. If you did, make a photo copy of it and tuck it in your bag just in case. Better to be overprepared than under prepared right? Anyhow, depending on what time you get in, if you do have any problems, ask for Judy day or Fred (overnight). There's one other person in that group, but their name escapes me... ----- ~~~Michael

It's there...Trust me...The flag on the other hand is laying on top of my rig at present. It did not make the trip yesterday...We've moved a little to the right and the area seems a little tighter than last year - possibly because I closed the whole thing off this time. If you get there before i do, feel free to move the fence line over. ----- ~~~Michael

FYI - Slow down going through Fisher (or is it Fischer) 11 miles out on the west side or Rantoul on 136. The state's finest were out on both ends of the town looking for donations... ----- ~~~Michael

Firm believer in karma...if good comes from you it will follow you. If you spit the bad, it will eventually catch up to you.

Ditto...If HR does what they are supposed to do, they will bend over backwards to fix the situation by whatever means. ----- ~~~Michael

Plan on a couple hours whether you're on the morning or evening loads. As other messages have said, take a pull up cord and your cell phone. The Rantoulites are good people and I've had not problems getting a ride back. Although, I had to be driven back to their house first so they could show of the guy that landed in the middle of the street... ----- ~~~Michael

ummm...I don't see her anymore...

before you grab a cab, have you're cardboard 'I'm homeless' sign ready that says 'Poor skydiver needs ride to Rantoul'. ----- ~~~Michael
