The Debilitating Myth of the 'Free Market' Alternative
dreamdancer replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
Actually there is. No one is forced to buy insurance. You can pay for medical care yourself if you prefer. Pick the doctor you want and go. Hell, a lot of docs give discounts to people paying cash instead of using health care insurance. Saves 'em money and keeps 'em from having to wait for reimbursenment. Sounds like free market to me. you spend twice as much on healthcare as other western nations and get a poorer outcome so it's definitely not free -

No, I said he cares about his crew. cared more for them (trained professional volunteers) than the iranian civilians he murdered

Yeah, OK, you keep telling yourself that. you're saying acorn is part of the mafia? Depends on how much labor union involvement they have and which family they are aligned with. SIEU? UFCW? Teamsters? the answer is, no, they are not part of the mafia lawrocket

If you can show that the Vincennes crew planned out and executed the deliberate downing of the jet, I'll admit to a double standard. you've already said that the captain didn't care about the casualties he was about to cause so i would call that deliberate. stay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding

Sure. The USS Cole had to operate under such guidelines and it got a bunch of sailors killed. I know you don't give a shit, but most captains actually do care about their crew. maybe if admiral crowe had done his job properly (without murdering 290 civilians) both the uss cole and lockerbie would never have happened

What interests were served by shooting down that passenger plane? I can see some rational for the notion that KAL007 could have been acting as a spy plane, but I don't see the upside for this shooting. (And the Russians certainly didn't benefit from their action either) When everyone is in a fighting stance, mistakes get made and they are deadly mistakes. the captain made the wrong decision - he could have chosen not to shoot down the civilian airliner. stay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding

How elementary are we going to be? The bomber had motive for innocent blood; it was premeditated you know it. Are you saying that we shot down a plane in the name of God? C'mon professor, you know the difference. Stop the spin. At least if you are going to get revenge against another country for a mistake, have the f**king balls to attack the US military since we fired the missle. Dont be a pussy and take out civilians. That's being a punk!!! deliberately shooting down a civilian airliner (of whatever nationality) is murder. admiral crowe, i agree, was a pussy. stay away from moving propellers - they bite blue skies from thai sky adventures good solid response-provoking keyboarding
