In a few short hours... ... the sun will rise above the Atlantic Ocean only to greet a very somber New York City, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and United States of America. We as a country are forever changed. Emotions that haunted us all this past year will be brought back to the surface. The deep sadness that we have worked so long and hard trying to turn into hope and inspiration will weigh heavy in our hearts once again. If only for a precious moment of remeberance. Tears of shock, horror, then sympathy will fall down countless faces again on this morning. Those who were lost and those who did lose deserve all of those tears. Much has happened since that fateful day one year ago. Beliefs have been heatedly debated (many times in here), many political strategies have been suggested, attacked, or supported (many times in here). Today that will not happen here. Today many, like myself, will mourn and remember those 2,843 souls who lost their lives and their families who lost the huge part of theirs.... ....in a few short hours.... on Sept,11,01

Aloha Brother~ just convers' 'in with ya dOOd....~smile~ >>Yeah, but, like, even though I can do loads of stuff on the 'Net, I don't feel like editing Wendy Faulkners home page without her permission... >>Drop her a note if you want to change the rules... Those fellow jumpers on our DZ nailed me with a 'flag landing' more times than I would like to ever admit. Muchos Cervesa was puchased during that era!!! p.s. 'They shouldn't have put the wind flag sooooo close to the peas!!!!

Re: [ernokaikkonen] Beer rules!!! Erno, you should add to that 'list of beer rules' hitting/wrapping the wind flag w/your canpoy on landing. This is not really like a first offense 'beer' violation after the second/third/fourth offense but still worthy of 'beer'. No????

Wow you're a very cool mom!! "I don't have it" was not a possible answer back when I was his age. Actually I was pretty much on my own by mid-senior year of high school. My parents (God bless them) would send me $20 per week for room and board and I came up with the rest. It was a mutual arrangement that worked out well for both of us. If memory serves I started developing a true appreciation for everything my parent(s) had always provided for me around 10 months of being out on my own. Independance was a perfect wake up call. It's a sink or swim kind of thing. I love them more each day. I believe the song goes...."You have to be cruel to be kind".

I'm not certain Clay but if you read it again I believe he said... Indicating that this is possibly some type of competitive tournement involving a ball of some sort and a Twin Beech. I could be mistaken though. j/k!!!!!!

Ethics In Relationships (Was "What makes a man desirable to women?")
gravitysurf808 replied to Zennie's topic in The Bonfire
Big DITTO here Zen!!! Re: rgoper Right on! Good for you brother!! Honesty and faithfulness imoh is the foundation of any good relationship/marrriage. I'll always stick to this option. -
This could fall under the 'huge understatement' category. While driving to work this week I was amazed that most of the news headlines on the car radio were focused on; 1. Back Street Boy will not make it into outer space and 2. Who will win the title of 'American Idol'. Current world events (ie: Middle East) got second billing. Where are peoples' minds???

Tech Support~ Do you have spare balls??
gravitysurf808 replied to gravitysurf808's topic in The Bonfire
e-mail SUBJECT: Company memo to all IT Field Engineers- re: Mouse Balls If a customers mouse fails to operate or should it perform erratically, it may need a ball replacement. Mouse balls are now available as FRU (Field Replacement Units). Because of the delicate nature of this procedure; properly trained personnel should only attempt replacement of mouse balls. Before proceeding, determine the type of mouse balls by examining the underside of the mouse. Domestic balls will be larger and harder than foreign balls. Ball removal procedures differ depending upon the manufacturer of the mouse. Foreign balls can be replaced using the pop off method. Domestic balls are replaced by using the twist off method. Mouse balls are not usually static sensitive. However, excessive handling can result in sudden discharge. Upon completion of ball replacement, the mouse may be used immediately. It is recommended that each person have a pair of spare balls for maintaining optimum customer satisfaction. Any customer missing his balls should contact the local personnel in charge of removing and replacing these necessary items. Please keep in mind that a customer without properly working balls is an unhappy customer. -

Wow! This is too wierd. I'm VERY curious christoofar. Was your friend jumping a collapsible or 'kill-line' pilot chute? This same thing almost happened to my wife a few weeks ago but she caught it while packing on the ground. Right after landing and upon inspection she found that the French link that connects the P/C~D-bag to the top of the canopy had come unthreaded. Upon further inspection with a local rigger he determined that it was a cheapy hardware store link not a 'Rapeed (sp?) Link' required for higher loading. This link only had about 2 1/2 maybe 3 threads. This also happened on her brand new Javelin Odyssey. I would be real curious to hear your answer. (Hmmmmm).

dOOd!!!!!! you're landed and are posting???? That seemed sooo fast!!! You're back on home ground already??!? Rock on!!! Well I guess the trip probably wasn't as fast for you while you were sitting in that 'Oh so airline big' comfortable seat on the aircraft for like what...30 some odd hours? DAMN!!!
