  5. Dude! I'd have gone in like 50 times by now......... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  6. Buy a private jet to commute, and pick me up while you're at it..... Make sure it's got a Jacuzzi......
  7. That's a throw out system. A pull out system works a bit differently....I'll try to post about it later.... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  8. Yeah, I'd say Crew rigs have more specific requirements of the P/C bridle combination, and don't really fall under my intent in this thread.
  9. Provide more sensitive control. Provide operating details (like aircraft instruments) Offers options like "cruise" settings. Controls the timer. Monitors and takes actions incase of unwanted vibrations. Records operational data in log form. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  10. I was wondering if anyone else had heard of this or any other successful attempts? Yeah. I've done a couple, both as Mr. Bill, and as Sluggo. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  11. Dude. The Nice Nerf(tm) version of skydiving is over there in "Slack Valley". The rest of us jump out of airplanes and accept the fact that stuff can happen. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  12. I've asked because in my experience there is no real good reason to make them any shorter than a throw out bridle. Mine are over 9 feet, and other than the fact the pack just slightly bigger, the benefits of the longer ones is huge. My Mirage showed up with a 7 foot bridle, and I very shortly afterward changed it out for a longer one. My all my Infinity H/C's and my Reflex had 9 foot bridles.(Mirage will build them longer by request.) Anyone have any comparative experience? ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  13. Pull out or throw out? ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  14. From bag to P/C how long is your bridle? Please state rig type as well, and if it's an after market P/C who manufactured it. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  15. In Perris exit altitudes are usually 12,500 AGL, with sunset loads sometimes going to 13,500 AGL. Any Higher than 15,000 MSL you'll need to have suplimenta O2 avaliable on the A/C. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  16. It might, however be better suited HERE ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  17. Keep the PM (Program Manager) happy. Make sure you get the songs in your mix that the PM has asked for (to keep ratings up), don't let you shit sound sloppy, and keep the flow movin'. Most "Mix Shows" are pre-recorded, as were many of mine. Spend 2 to 3 hours for every hour you have brodcast, and that doesn't include time spent finding music. Did I mention the pay sucks? Naw, that's more the response from a club owner or event promoter....... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  18. Learn to live dangerously. Not if you have a good romp afterward to burn off some calories. Coffee doesn't hold a candle to tea. You're out of your mind. You should be home having a romp anyway. Wanna bet? Not ALWAYS..... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

  20. Probably not. I wanted to be a fireman. I am currently a full time Skydiving and Wind Tunnel instructor, among other lables. They've changed, and the constantly do.... I've never been one to think "I can't do that". I've been a Pro Radio Mix Show DJ, Resturaunt Manager, Record Store Manager, Night Club DJ, Office manager for several skydiving related businesses, gear sales associate, business owner, ect..... Time is one of the most valuable comodities we own. I quit some jobs because I didn't have the time to enjoy life, and you can't get it back...... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  21. Hooking in. I don't think so. Gross, but not illegal AFAIK. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  22. While there is that, the benifits really are out weighed by the hassle. Tunnel rigs are not too common anyway. Some people DO wear more lead, but rarely need to. Non-experience tunnel flyers often forget that the speed of the tunnel can be adjusted easily. A small amount of weight is great to take the edge of the strain of arching for the extended periods a tunnel session can produce. A proper fitting suit shouldn't make you look like MC Hammer with the droopy drawers. Suits with torsos that are to long can often end up having legs that are far too short when the rig is on. Not good.... (PS not trying to diaagree for the sake of disagreeing, but after 4 years working for a Jumpsuit manufacturer, and being a tunnel instructor I've noticed a couple things.) ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  23. No. Better to get a suit that fits correctly. Some tunnels have harnesses for you to use as well..... ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  24. Perhaps...just goes to show, Nothing Fits Like a Racer!!!!!!! Dude. I just shot Dr. Pepper out of my nose. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  25. Fequently the P/C may just cock it'self and you'll get a longer deployment sequence. If you were to knock the bacg loose by hitting the container with your elbows and got the bag into the air, then yes, but it will also be a longer deployment sequence. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
