  1. The point is that it will open fast and on heading every single time without ripping your head off. So, if the pilot wished to deploy quite low they would be confident of the opening with out any doubt. So does my Xaos or Stiletto. You think they are cheaper? Let me know how that goes when you have to replace it every 300 to 500 jumps. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  2. Have you ever run a piece of Spectra, Vectran, or HMA across gaffers tape spread across a gap real fast? It doesn't even slow it down. Fill the gap. A nice gel epoxy will do. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  3. Why is it people so easily forget that the life saving bit about skydiving is landing safely under an open parachute? The AFF rating had no requirements as to ability to teach safe canopy flight. And that's a problem. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

  5. If you think that sort of thing is going to reduce peoples interest, then you haven't seen "Desperate Housewives". Hey now! Maybe there's a way to generate membership! We'll all get picked up for a massive reality show! Quick everyone, punch somebody. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  6. Agreed. The person wavered in this case may or may not have been a worthy flyer, but I am not a fan of such a policy. There is much more than freefall time an ability to being an AFF instructor. Jan can you e-mail me re: unrelated subject. I can't find your contact info. diablopilot at gmail dot com ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. 7. NO way. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  8. I really like the looks of their "Diablo" helmet. I'm just not a fan of chin cups. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  9. I don't see anything wrong with the current version. It's a main. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  10. It's bad in that it looks big enough to catch a type 17 riser, but on the positive your lines are rarely that close to your head. Of course I'm a top mount snob so you'll never hear me say anything good about a side mount. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  11. You don't see a major snag point in the 3rd picture? (#11) ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  12. If not counting "breakaway" clothing that is designed to be removed before or during deployment of a standard built rig, then I have seen 5 different "concealed" rigs. 3 back type, 2 chest, 4 were ram air (reserve canopies were used), 1 round, 4 different builders, and none were TSO'd. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. What you typed "sounds" like this to me...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdaHCLlBkWU I wish I could give more.... but I'm limited by the info that I have (thus I can't get the answers myself) Nope that's not it.... but hey, that sounds a lot like that IceIceBaby song That comment almost rates a spanking. And not in a "good" way. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

  18. Next time you have a bag lock, figure out the speeds for us, will ya? Me, I'm gonna get rid of that shit quickfast. A high speed mall is just that, high speed. Edit to add. Ever consider the possibility that being pulled into an upright position is an advantage in handling a bag lock malfunction as it facilitates the clearing of the three ring assembly? ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  19. I've handled one and they are a very nice quality helmet, but I think you'll pay quite a bit more than $300. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  20. And what exactly prevents a non rigger from doing such assembly or maintenance of non TSO'd components? Nothing. There is no certification. There is no rating. There is no enforcement. Now if you ARE a rigger, that changes things. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
  21. Right, now checking that off on my list of places NOT to move. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
