Sometimes things happen that cause you to loose currency. USPA has their rules...and well I have my own too. According to USPA I had not lost my currency in the last few months, however in my eyes I did. I chose to sit thru a refresher course, and my first jump back I did a 2 way with one of the organizers/instructors. Pretending you are current when you are not, makes you not only a danger to yourself, but a danger to those in the air around you. People really need to think before they act. Forging your log book because you dont want to pay to be safe? it amazes me how many people really have the attitude that they are not going to get hurt or that they dangerous, but yet take no steps to ensure that, and make bad judgment calls...because they think what they want, with out looking at what reality says. The problem is most people dont deal with these things, they just run ahead and drop them. Only to have them slowly manifest in the minds and in there souls, causing them become heavier and heavier, and have major self issues.... Taking the time and allowing your self to morn is a good thing. Not doing that just makes matters worse in the long run, i know cause i tried that once, and i'm still recovering from the damage. This is an excerpt from a book called "Mastery of Love" by Don Miguel Ruiz.... This is very very interesting to think about.... In order to protect our emotional wounds, and because of our fear of being hurt, humans create something very sophisticated in the mind: A big denial system. In that denial system we become the perfect liars. We lie so perfectly that we lie to ourselves and we even believe our own lies. We don't even notice we are lying, and sometimes even when we know we are lying, we justify the lie and excuse the lie to protect ourselves from the pain of our wounds The denial system is like a wall of fog in front of our eyes that blinds us from seeing the truth. We wear a social mask because it's too painful to see ourselves or let others see who we really are. And the denial system lets us pretend that everyone believes what we want them to believe about us. We put up these barriers for protection, ot keep other people out, but these barriers also keep us inside, restricting our freedom. Humans cover themselves, and protect themselves, and when someone says "You are pushing my buttons." it is not exactly true. What is true is that you are touching a wound in his mind and he reacts because it hurts. It is amazing how each of us has our own reality...and sometimes how we make thing seem like they are one thing, but yet the truth is that is really not true....it is all lies to ourselves and those around us. True love comes from the inside...when you can love and accept yourself for who you really are...then that is where it all begins....then finding someone who themselves feel the same way....and dont need the constant re-assurance of others to tell them this. Its things like this, when they happen in our lives or to those around us that remind us how short and precious life really is. The only guarantee in our lives is that we at some point will die. We do not know when this will be, no one does. It is times like these we need to step back and take the time to cherish the ones we love, our families and those dearest to us. We have no control over what the universe brings us, or takes from us, and it could very well be we loose them tomorrow. We just do not know. Some times our lives become so hectic we forget how precious our children or our family really are. Loosing someone before his or her time??… that poses the question…what is before their time? Each of us has only so much time here. Perhaps we have something to accomplish with our time here and we are in this world until it is completed, or we are given a certain amount of time to get to our purpose finished??...A deadline before we loose our chance. We don’t know. But we need to remember that those around us can be taken from us in an instant. Take the time to make your children, your parents, your siblings and your friends in your life know how important they really are to you. How much you love them. I don't have any children of my own to know what it is like to loose a child. I do know what it is like to loose my mother well before her time. There are no words to describe it. I dont want to know everything....cause then there is nothing left to learn...and well then life would be boring..... Having the ability to learn and grow on a daily basis is a wonderful thing...Taking each day, living and learning = personal growth...when that stops...you just start to wither away...be it emotionally or physically..... I pity those who think they know it all...that means that they are no longer living life...and are just sitting idle...... Everything around us grows and changes...if we are not willing to learn and adjust with it the world around us will change...and we will be stuck in the same spot.... This is a no brainer...my life or a canopy???? im sorry but my life is worth a bit more then $1400 (give or take what the canopy is, how much used etc). I hit the hard deck and im not sure I can land it...its history....I will figure out how to pay for it. That is interesting....as the other viable option was it was caused by some virus going around...I am a hell of a lot better today, then I was sat.
