"The Democrats have to be concerned the August or September report that comes out could easily show some big negative numbers when the census jobs go away -- right before the election," said John Silvia, chief economist at Wells Fargo. "A lot of these congressmen running for office are going to see unemployment rates in their district that are higher than two years ago. People are going to ask them: 'What have you done for two years?'" he said.

    The advisory position was unpaid, so "something of value" just went right out the window. Also, they withdrew the offer when they realized that he couldn't serve in the advisory position and remain a member of Congress, due to conflict of interest. This is quite possibly one of the most meaningless "scandals" yet. You right wingers are getting desperate. __________________________________________________ do you really believe Obama when he said he offered a advisory position ?? He offered Sestac a position that he could not accept to quit the primary? this isn't even a job. I say impeach the Liar... wait , that would mean Biden would be president and Pelosi would be a heartbeat away.. never mind..

    The date was 2/2/80 and i was jumping at Pope Valley California and on opening, my Strato Cloud had 3 - 4 cells inflated on one side which put me in a fast spinning malfunction .I pulled my cut-away handle and to my shock it didn't cut-away but made me spin even faster, as only one side cut away. I tugged at the remaining riser in my left hand and reached for my hook knife in my right and checked my altitude at the same time. luckily after 2-3 tugs the remaining riser cut-away so i could open my lo-po reserve . The release system was called the myers system ( for those of you that remember ). I soon after switched over to the three ring.

Problem is that the global warming activist are so emotionally (and financially) invested in the the whole glaciers going world's ending mindset that they are unwilling to consider that they may be looking at the wrong picture or looking at the picture wrongly. You overstate the problems by an order of magnitude. The preponderance of evidence still shows, by far, that the planet is warming. The shrill trumpeting by the deniers about a few bad apples has deafened you. The laws of thermodynamics remain intact and operational.     think this is bad , they are proposing a national i.d. card. Sounds a little like big brother governing 100% of our life. While I am not certain what data would be help on this smart card I have been hearing anything from a digital photograph to DNA. I am not sure what your thoughts here are but this sounds disturbing to me for many reasons. If the ID is to be encoded with the card holder’s DNA then each and every one of us are now cataloged into a federal, state, or local database somewhere.

When it is claimed that Clinton paid down the national debt, that is patently false--as can be seen, the national debt went up every single year. What Clinton did do was pay down the public debt--notice that the claimed surplus is relatively close to the decrease in the public debt for those years. But he paid down the public debt by borrowing far more money in the form of intragovernmental holdings (mostly Social Security) Clinton was the guy who raped Social security.
