You got that right. Wireless is the way to go! The initial startup costs might be high (100-800) but the results are great. I have wireless at my house and I see between 5 and 7 megabits/sec both up and down. Latency is a thing of the past. I ping google or cisco and average between 6 and 8ms!! Try looking on DSLreports.com for wireless ISPs in your area. There are more and more small WISPs starting up. There's like 4 that I know of in my neighborhood. Butthead: Whoa! Yeah, tried the apple-bitter stuff. I have a half gallon of it, but it only lasts a couple of days, and reapplying it every couple of days on everything is a bit too much work. Poop works better. 5726: Pop-up sprinklers. Note to self: Never leave Kody outside while sprinklers are running because the fucker grabs onto the sprikler head and pulls the entire thing (sprinkler and body) out of the ground. Good thing those things have flexible head on them, or I'd spend 4 hours replacing pipe instead of 1 just replacing the unit. 5735: My attempt at growing grass and had to Kody-Proof (tm) it from the wild creature. 5737: The fucker dug underneath the fence twice and then pushed his head through the boards once. Old rotting fence. Need to get it replaced. Solution: put his feces in the hole and it keeps him from digging there anymore. 5739. Lil' Shit got a hold of the boards for my shed and pulled them out and chewed them to pieces. I had to replace them and put many many screws in them to hopefully deter the fucker from ripping them out again. 5727: The fucker - Lil' Shit, in all his glory. Anybody want him ? For the past few months I have been Kody-Proofing (tm) my house. I think I am done.. I hope. Have you Kody-Proofed (tm) your house from Kody or other wild creatures ? 5721: The dryer vent. There was a plastic thing on there with louvers (sp?) but Kody chewed it to pieces. This should help. 5725: The sprinker controls, hose reel, and connector hose had to be Kody-Proofed (tm). The fucker chewed up the wires for the sprinker controls, ate through the connector hose for the hose reel, and then finally pulled ALL the hose out of my old hose reel while in the process of chewing that hose reel to itty bitty pieces. 5722: Phone box. The fucker chewed through the phone box cover and in the process ripped out all the phone lines. Then he proceeded to pull the wires that were coming into the box. So I had to box the phone box and put a piece of roofing material over the wires running down the side of the house. I think that will work. 5723: Satellite cables. After putting the cables into conduit, that seemed to stop that fucker from pulling the ENTIRE cable out of the house - which means I had to crawl under the house twice to fix it. 5724: Cable TV cable: Same as above. That fucker ripped out the cable out of the house for this twice too. After the first time I only Kody-Proofed the top part of the wire (above the horizontal electical conduit) But no, that fucker got his claws or teeth onto the small part of the cable below the horizontal conduit and pulled the cable out the house again. Ripping out the cable isn't that bad. But what happens, is the Lil' Shit (my g/f's term of endearment for him) chews through the outer protective cable and then grabs onto the copper strand in the middle and pulls it out of the sheathing - hence I have to replace both ends of the cable.
