Gatorade has always seemed horribly chemical and foul to me before. Maybe I'm straight! First Class Citizen Twice Over

implies he thinks he's been singled out? It's really pathetic the extremes people will go to to try and not lose a point. That was said after "But as an honest American I still don't appreciate being spied upon." He also never said he didn't think he was being spied upon even though I asked him why he thought he was. Please invoke your amazing powers of logic you always bore us with and see if you can "noodle it out" from here. - Ugh. I think you really believe your own words. (I hope that isn't construed as a personal attack but in a way it is.) I have more important things to do that beat my head against your brick wall any more. Bye. First Class Citizen Twice Over

Please explain for me what part of: implies he thinks he's been singled out? First Class Citizen Twice Over

Hardly. Once again you're being nasty and mean-spirited. Nobody claimed to be singled out but you certainly know that simply accusing him of saying so can make him look guilty of paranoia. You're well aware that you're making a false accusation. Maybe that's because you can't win the argument without it, huh? First Class Citizen Twice Over

I asked for references. I got some lousy ones. Instead you want me to read your minds? Well, I'll try. You're sure, but you're wrong. That happens to you a lot, doesn't it? First Class Citizen Twice Over

It boggles my mind, too... Apparently you guys SKIMMED the article. Perhaps that's all they taught you to do in school. The article describes democratic leaders admitting it, but does NOT quote democratic leaders admitting it. Do you know the difference? Descriptions are unverifyable interpretations on the part of the journalist who's clearly looking for trouble -- and possibly inventing it. Are you going along with the game through wishful thinking or just clumsiness? First Class Citizen Twice Over

There's so much more significance to this little throwaway comment than you realize. Well, Suzie...I mean it literally and as a reference to the military-industrial complex. If the morons in DC are going to start an arms race, I might as well get a piece of the pie. I have a Politics degree and a Business degree. I am well aware that some people stand to profit off an arms race. So...while you grouse and whine about the victimization of some pathetic little subset of society, I'll be cashing a check with lots of zeros on it. -Commence Whining- And this is a snapshot of exactly why millions of people get slaughtered in way every year -- and why we should all fear annihilation any time -- because of people who think like this. Ok, I looked up "McKinney" and she appears to be a member of the house. You must think she's racist and maybe you're right. I don't know. Without passing judgement (cause I know how ignorant I am about her) let's stipulate it for the sake of argument. Is this the systematic, widespread, open racism at the heart of the entire party? One minor congressperson is it??? Reaching. Really reaching! Oh, I see good old gravitymaster found the same editorial you did. Good boy! First Class Citizen Twice Over

Of COURSE I missed his whatever appearance you're talking about. I don't follow entertainers around. What are you talking about? (Ugh, do I care enough to ask?) Very much mistaken. I don't care if God hisself comes down and burps a crap editorial to the tune of Happy Birthday. I don't give anyone credit for anything by virtue of their position. I was complaining that the article was crap, not because of who published it but because it was CRAP. You (and others) keep repeating an inflamatory claim that an entire party is based on massive, systematic, open racism. So far you've come up with a reject from a journalism school's Freshman Partisan Editorial class and a stage singer. Can you do a little better? Ugh. First Class Citizen Twice Over
-
You're a far cry from justifying the claim that racism is "business as usual" for a whole party. So far you've come up with one trashy editorial which is trying to imply racism but basically can't find much so it makes a bunch of shit up. This second article is pretty offensive, but it's a SINGER for god's sake. He stands on stage and croons tunes for a share of the box office. What the hell does this have to do with a political party? And that's just goofy poking at my "sensibilities" when I'm reading and analyzing your sources to see if they actually say what you claim they say. Do you want me to stop doing that and just follow along with whatever crap newspapers come up with? Or maybe only if they say crap which supports your position. First Class Citizen Twice Over

Bizarre. That story is either frighteningly badly written or it's intentionally unreadable. It claims lots of unattributed bad things were said but none of the quotes actually support any of it. Nobody named "Kwafume" is referenced in the article at all. Do you mean Mfume? If so, he didn't say anything about either "aunt jemima" OR "uncle tom". Maybe you meant Thomas Miller who DID defend saying "uncle tom". Or maybe you're just sort of blurring everyone in the article together into one fuzzy bad guy. In fact, while it's easy to come away from this story FEELING that something racist has been said, honestly I can't find much when I read the quotes. It's a bunch of worrisome "somebody said something" claims followed by quotes that don't support much at all. Is this the sort of crap the Washington Times usually writes? And do you have any other examples? This one's mediocre at best. First Class Citizen Twice Over

You should check out the many comments often made about Condoleeza Rice, JC Watts, Colin Powell and other black Republicans, then reconsider. Many far lefties apparently only like blacks as long as they stay on the Democratic plantation. I've never seen any racist comments against those people. Can you direct me to some? I WAS talking about people on dropzone specifically, but I'd love to see them from any source. First Class Citizen Twice Over

By "we" do you mean the current pack of madmen in power? If so, then yes, I am DEFINITELY of that opinion. I think the madmen in power should be in prison. If they want to look for eViL TeRrOrIsTs there, that's fine by me. First Class Citizen Twice Over -
Yes, strictly speaking, you're exactly right. I did not intend to include everyone on the righthand side of the thought-stifling one-dimensional political spectrum. The subset I was referring to are fairly easy to spot. I'll refrain from naming them out of politeness but anyone with their eyes open will have no problem identifying them. The wackos on the other side of the thought-stifling one-dimensional political spectrum are just as wacky, but at least their true motives don't seem to be racial and sexual bigotry. Bingo! Man, this is amazingly close to why the right-wingers on dropzone.com are so frightening and offensive. They claim (and probably believe) they're acting from principle but it's so obvious their principles are largely excuses to indulge their antagonistic gut instincts. First Class Citizen Twice Over

Oh! That's an excellent point. Perhaps an eViL TeRoRiSt was catching a flight to Disneyland with her grandkids for a little rest and relaxation between hijackings. Damn! We lost a chance to nab her. (If the point of the airport security checks is to catch bad people while they're traveling innocently, then why don't we extend them to the streets? The shops? The theaters and restaurants? Oh wait... in many ways that's already happened.) I'm not teaching introductory logic to non-english speakers any more. It's far, far worse than that. Ugh. First Class Citizen Twice Over -
Ah! Got it. Now I know exactly how little you know about me. I was wondering. Not that I make a habit of tracking your posts, but I don't recall you having any good to say about the current administration... "a rose by any other name", so to speak. You're right. I've never had anything good to say about the current administration. That makes me liberal? First Class Citizen Twice Over

Nice of you to assume I'm an advocate for a candidate. Please keep assuming things about me. It amuses me to no end. But regardless, I'll take the bait 'cause it's so easy. If -I- spent 8 years married to a president, I know I'd learn a hell of a lot about the job. More than anyone could learn being a ceremonial figurehead in a landlocked rural state. Absolutely right! And what a fine resume item too. So THAT'S where he became a renowned expert in the workings of the federal legislative process, strategic warfare, macro economics, international diplomacy, and international law, right? You're thinking of durian. Yes, it smells and yes, I like to eat it. But I think you have the wrong impression. Durian isn't like any other fruit in the world. There's no sweetness, no tartness, and has basically nothing in common with any fruit you've ever eaten. Describing durian never sounds good to westerners but here goes my attempt: The flesh is like extremely mild custard or overripe banana with flavors of onion and garlic. It's extremely complex and gives a different flavor experience every bite. The durians I've had all tasted different from each other as well. The smell is strong. In Malaysia we smelled durian stands before we saw them. It's not pleasant but I wouldn't say "rotting flesh". It's more akin to stinky shoes. Durians are sometimes imported to the US and Canada. The imported variety doesn't smell bad. I've never eaten them. Canned durian just sounds vile but I feel that way about everything in cans. First Class Citizen Twice Over
