  1. Never discount the value of a good PLF.
  2. Thanks I'll be keeping a better eye on it!
  3. No, I turned it off after canopy opened with the hype. I'll figure it out eventually. Just curious to see if this is a common issue with camera. Didn't see any previous posts. Thanks for input.
  4. yeah, I got a hypeye. I remember looking to see if it was red before exit and it was. As far as that I don't recall the status. Its the first time I used it with the duo. All other times were on internal memory. The next two jumps were a helo and 18 k, I wanted to make sure and record them so I used internal memory. I'll have to make some more jumps with it on the duo to figure it out I guess. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them?
  5. I had my cx-100 on record, with 4 gb sony pro duo. Filmed a jump. Went to look at video after jump and the video stops recording right when i get to door. Any ideas?
  6. I went out there today and got 2 jumps in at 4 o'clock. I think it is best just to call and find out when they are doing tandems because other people seem to show up when the tandems are out. I'll be out there possibly friday and this weekend.
  7. Hey, Myself and 2 other friends are looking for fun jumpers to get some lifts in occasionally during the week. Probably around 4pm. If you want to jump during the week give me a shout and we can arrange something. If not I will see you on the weekend!
  8. Go small or go home as the saying goes. Or is it big?
  9. Somebody packed me a nice lineover on a rental rig. I haven't used packers since! Plus I would feel bad making them pack my brand new canopy. That thing is slippery as an eel.
  10. I like the pinball landing off the two cars.
  11. Hello all, I was wondering if anybody had anything new to express about Precision's Nitron. I've read the old posts. Your opinion is welcome here!
  12. Hey, I had to use this on a couple of military jumps. http://www.airborne-sys.com/pdfs/_AS-Website_Marketing_PDFs/14-PARACHUTE%20RELATED%20PRODUCTS/FF2/FF-2%201.31.08.pdf Not sure if I made it a clicky :( It sucks, You have to arm it at altitude and it pulls your main ripcord. After learning with a cypres2 I was a little worried about this thing. Luckily my unit switched to cypres2s.
  13. I look through that already. Thanks though.
  14. I was wondering how come this DZ closed? I searched but didn't see anything, so unless you got a link don't tell me to search the forums :)
  15. Funny you mention that. When I hung my canopy up to connect the risers gravel fell out of it. Lol. It was pretty small and pebble sized but still I'd prefer not to have gravel in my canopy! I'm on all grass now so I don't have to worry.
  16. I had an elaborate response all typed up and went to check spelling. CRASH! Anyways. Risk is a funny thing. We are the only animals that put themselves at risk for fun. Why does Jef Corliss want to land a wingsuit? Why did Luigi Cani land a 37 ft canopy? They are risking thier lives to complete these stunts. To them I guess it is worth it. You only live once you might as well do what you like and want to do. If it means the ultimate price then you better be ready to pay up! Does USPA need to condone these activities? Why? When people want to do their OWN thing why get others involved? Just do it if you want to, I am sure you have the resources. There must be some goal by trying to get the USPA involved. I have little knowledge as to why or how come so I can not comment. I just don't like others nay saying individuals. Compared to a 3,000 ft BASE jump in Kjerag it doesn't seem as dangerous. Why does USPA need to be involved?
  17. You people need to stop with your name calling. "Dummies"? Grow up. The people performing these stunts are professionals. The issue at hand is whether or not the USPA should participate in such demos, not the skill or IQ of the people performing the stunts.
  18. Maybe a 150 would be easier to get the air out of then the 170. I do the technique Brian Germain recommends when landing but I end up having to lay on it to get all the air out. I'll have to add it to the demo list.
  19. Hi. I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Vengeance and what is the closest comparison to its flight characteristics. I love the way it flies. The airlocks are becoming a pain though. I'm going to a 150 with a wingloading of 1.35.
