    Mirage is working on their skyhook system called the Mirage DRX. I have asked a bunch of people about putting the regular skyhook in my G3 and all seem to say hell no. Riggers correct me if Im wrong: The skyhook and Cypres dont interact with each other any more than a rig would work without an rsl. The cypres cuts the closing loop and bypasses the DRX, the DRX pulls the pin and uses the main that you cut away as a big pilot chute for the reserve.     Any satellite systems will experience 'rain fade', Ku band (what DirecTV uses) is one of the least effected by it, but you probably will still notice when it gets nasty outside. There's other times when you have a perfect sky, but the broadcast terminal doesnt. Its pretty rare for that one to happen though. I'm not a big fan of consumer sat terminals (like the hughes) but if you have no other options, go for it. Keep in mind, the one I used to have was download limited, you download too much, they will throttle you and eventually kill your connection.     Yeah, I agree. I've seen all kinds of advice given on here. Jeff will tell you that Ive asked some retarded questions out at the dz, but every bit of info helps you make decisions. Unless someone who watches you jump posts a reply, take it with a grain of salt, what works for one may not be what you need to do to stay safe. I bought my gear after talking to everybody about it, the only thing that I dont have a warm fuzzy about is the color... and from what I hear Jeff and another person have decided on a great name for it.
