Brian Germain Canopy Course

I agree, great book! But I think you get one anyways at the course? "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message -
Im with you on that one... I mean really, whats the hold up?? When I called about it a couple months ago, they said they were done testing it but waiting on a possible change to the skyhook so they could adapt the DRX, but that issue was a while ago and only involved a simple mod from what I understand. When my American girl friend gave me dating advice and explained to me "the rules", I just stood there in disbelief. That is some fucked up shit!!! He likes you ... you like him ... have fun and be happy. That conversation kinda turned me off from dating American boys -- when she explained to me that they expect me to "play the game" and if I don't, they'll think I'm "easy", my "type" just changed to "foreign men only". No, I won't be as stupid as those people playing "the rules" and I won't stereotype - the last boy I dated was American

This question is rigged... Even if a woman COULD have a light that blinked/lit up every time she was turned on... she wouldnt use it. She would do what every other woman in the world does and make the guy try to figure it out. Never make things easy. If girls had lights that lit up when they were horny, then they would not be able to play their games and make men bend over backwards for it. It would be more of a "Hey, we both know you're horny... lets go!" and that would solve all of the worlds problems! It would make sense that the knock sensor is acting up and not allowing enough, or allowing too much fuel into the system, causing the O2 sensor to read out of tollerance. To me atleast... I would see whats up with the knock sensor first, they're alot cheaper IIRC. The knock sensor is a sensor thats usually found on the block of the engine to detect detonation in your cylinders so that it can adjust your mixture. Its a good thing I didnt think of asking you for a place to crash next month if I make it up there for BG's canopy piloting course. Wouldnt a skydiver possibly read the forums, and know whats coming? Can you elaborate on this more? Sounds interesting, I don't understand in the slightest though. Get a different spot, a mile away from the DZ and track to it, then 1.5 mi, 2, 2.5... youll see how far you can track and work at getting better at it. Or am I wrong? Agreed! And prepare him to hear 'f*kin x-rays!' ALOT! The Army is fun at times, but it sucks at times... Im trying to set myself up for a fun couple years if Gawain would hurry up and get me my slot on the team Its what you make of it. Just dont let him do something he wont like, like fuel guy, truck driver, or cook... never met a happy one of either of those. Too bad the weather sucked down in the area huh? Ever look up at that blimp and wonder if you could jump it? I know I sure as hell do every time I see it. Yeah, reminds me of my first level 4. I spun up so fast, according to the JM, I created lift like a propeller and he had a hell of a time getting big enough to get back level with me before I pulled. Ya know what the problem was? RELAXING and leg awareness. I never REALLY relaxed untill I was off AFF, my first solo jump. I just got out there and was the most relaxing thing, perfectly stable, and I thought 'Wow... I guess when you're relaxed, it is much easier!' Im surprised that you didnt get a bent connecting rod if the spark plug was sitting in coolant. (Connecting rod is what connects the piston head to the crank) Blown head gasket isnt the worst thing ever, just get the intake manifold and block checked for cracks to make sure that you wont have it again, and get the gasket replaced. Yes, we could... or you could learn to fish. Use the search function, as most people will tell you on a topic this widely discussed. There is a bunch of different threads on it! Well, there was a 4th of july party at the base im at. Fireworks, bonfire, and ran into a girl I went to high school with. Small world, even on the other side of it! BTW, to the genius that decided that we should have a bonfire in July, in Iraq... Here's your sign! To me, that would rule out problems with battery/starter/alternator. And it would cause me to suspect a problem ignition system or fuel system. To me that might point to the starter/flywheel. If it turns over without catching, he could be refering to the starter not catching the flywheel. Yep, I agree. I don't usually disconnect the Battery cable usually don't clear the codes on the OBDII system, that takes a scanner. It does work on the old systems, but we don't have that luxery now with the new systems. I'm leaning toward the CTS myself, but like I said, we're trying to figure this thing out long distance. Who knows, We may all be wrong. I guess we'll see what she comes back with when she gets it fixed. IIRC, most OBD-II systems will clear a minor fault and the MIL will go off after 3 cycles of the car running. Not that autozone wont do it for free, but all it really takes is driving the car on the freeway a couple times for the computer to decide that its working fine again. TIs do you give your students altimeters?
theonlyski replied to WatchYourStep's topic in Tandem Skydiving
So, your theory is, you would rather the AAD fire and possibly cause a reserve/drogue entanglement than have the student pull higher than the AAD would fire, and possilby have a reserve/drogue entanglement? THE SAME MAL ONLY LOWER! Sounds to me like I would want more time to try to sort things out up high, not at a few grand and spinning. Im no genius, but if I was a student and looked up and saw something tangled up, and us going down funny, I would probably try to do something about it. Granted, not a whole lot a student could do (or an instructor at that point) but it does give them time if there is a possibility to clear it. Maybe Bill Booth has an idea on this subject. Im sure someone somewhere has had to try this before. The only downsides I could see to a properly designed riser is the fact that it would wear out faster than a normal riser and it may be less sensitive to harness input steering at lower wing loadings. Edit: Spelling "I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message

That makes perfect sense, but here is one for you: Why not figure out a design for main risers that incoporates some sort of elastic, so that no matter what lines you use, you're covered.
